Whenever you buy something like this, I highly recommend putting any of the snap together pieces together only after you are certain you want to keep the item. As an additional gift, I got the motorized remote control car (sold separately) but that didn't work with the track at all. the car reached the turns, it rolled over the barriers and went All the different parts of the VTech Go Go got stuck in the spinners each and every time. The different parts are uncompatible and do not work well together. I think that neither of my kids were particularly fond of it at the end of the day. She destroyed it when she was 1 year old. This is one of the toys my 2yo enjoys playing with. Only one flaw I discovered was that some pieces of road did not snap together tightly and came undone often. In terms of the design, it looks like they angled it wrong. This is SUCH a great toy - I wish I had it when I was a kid! I was so impressed with how interactive it was for a 3 year old. A few months ago, I played with this toy with my grandson for hours. The Vtech cars I bought him were a big hit with him. He rode them back and forth on the tracks, up and down the ramps over and over My brothers loved hot wheels sets. I remember having fun playing with theirs all day long. Children learn to play with toys like this one, because they will learn how to play by themselves Let's imagine and be creative instead of using technology all the time. His collection will be significantly enhanced by the addition of these and I am certain he will be delighted.

They play all day with the cars because they are the perfect size for little hands. It is a bit of a challenge to build, but, once built, it is pretty neat. Although, after playing with it for a while, it gets old for my 3 year old, since the tracks don't always stay together. As if things fell from the sky. Generally it is a good gift, but it is not something that will last.

There are 45 degree turns that make it difficult to link it up with other sets, and the actual police station itself isn't as interesting or intuitive as some others. It has a little jail cell at the bottom that doesn't seem to be connected to.
