In my opinion, this is a great track set at this price! There is a lot of distance covered by 40 feet! Hopefully, we can combine this with a high speed turn to be able to run all the way down our stairs (see video and pictures). We have plenty to be able to do One of my only complaints is that I wish there was no extra piece (the blue thing) between the tracks. You need a lot of space to store loose components when you take them apart. Also, why don't they make curves and include them in any way? If that were to happen, we'd have a lot more options. The rest of my complaint is that I have not faced any difficulties with the gadget and my son enjoys building long tracks that go down stairs and off the couch, etc. It comes with a car and doesn't require batteries. You can also get cars from the Hot Wheels brand. Considering what you get, I even think the price is quite reasonable. Definitely a recommendation for kids who like to think BIG when it comes to track layouts, but with that said, if you want the most out of it, definitely buy the high speed curve to go along with it. On each track piece of this set, there is a permanently attached connector. They are riveted straight to the rail. The connector wings do not extend into the riveted side, so it is possible that the track would just separate and leave huge gaps. The smaller pieces in this track set do give you the ability to do a number of things that a larger track won't let you do in its original form without being cut into smaller ones. As a result, I don't think this package is worth purchasing due to In the first place, you can purchase two feet. For about the same amount of money as the Toys 'R Us track pieces (minus the car, which wasn't that good anyway), you can get about the same amount of large-scale track pieces. This small, elongated piece makes the track more fragile by requiring more connectors, so it can fit into fewer tracks. Additionally, the track walls on the track in this set are much shorter than those on a 2 foot set. Track pieces sold at Toys 'R Us are long track pieces. In general, I wouldn't say not to buy it, but if you're just trying to find a lot of track length, go to Toys 'R Us instead.
