But. I'm a little disappointed. I was so happy when the item arrived in perfect condition. As a kid, I used to have fantastic kaleidoscopes, so I was optimistic. However, I was disappointed in the end. It was merely adequate, not exceptional. I had high hopes based on the positive reviews. Maybe my bead count was too low. I was underwhelmed by the amount of dead space I saw while watching it. I'm thinking of opening it up and adding more beads, or changing them out. It is without a doubt something I would recommend to a young child. But don't hold yourself to unrealistically high standards in terms of aesthetics.
This was a gift to myself for my birthday, and I am extremely disappointed in it for two reasons. One, it was broken when it arrived loose in a box with other items (one of the interior mirrors is loose and flops around). For a short time, you can get the kaleidoscopic effect by flipping the mirror into place and holding it in that position). Two, the beads inside are juvenile; yes, this is a juvenile toy, but the beads are extremely cheap, and instead of a kaleidoscope of color, you get a teleidoscopic view of plastic beads. br>br>As a result, it earns a one-star rating in terms of quality. It receives three stars for content. I'm going to keep looking for something that meets all of my varying requirements.
We had it delivered to us so that we could give it to them in person. As described by other customers, the product broke the first time it was used. The view was obstructed by the shift in the center. I'm sick of Amazon's junk mill when it comes to certain items. Some items are excellent, but there is a lot of "dollar" garbage on the market. apathy? apathy?.
They simply put them in a box and leave them there. It would have gotten four stars if the two I bought hadn't been packaged carelessly and had damaged each other during shipping. One was severely dented (as seen below), while the other appears to be in good condition except for the broken glue between the rotating cylinder and the bead container. I suppose I can fix the latter, but the former is a loss because the dented portion crimps when pressed on, resulting in sharp edges that are unsuitable for a three-year-old. br>br>It would be a nice product if they didn't send them to you in such a shabby condition. Rolling each in a piece of old newspaper would have avoided the dilemma of deciding whether to go to the trouble of returning it or simply not bother getting another one. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After I contacted Amazon about the problem, they provided me with two free replacements. These were well-packaged and in good condition when they arrived. Given the low price, the Kaleidoscopes are adequate, but the bead selection could be expanded. They'll be a hit with my nephews, I'm sure.
This kaleidoscope is one of my favorites. It's just as bright as it appears in the photo, but it's not at all tacky - It feels like it's anchored in your hands. The beads inside are plastic and come in a variety of shapes. They aren't particularly fancy (or delicate). There are a few minor flaws in the mirrors, but I only noticed them because I was inspecting them closely for this review. Even so, the effect is lovely - I think it's a lot better than some of the cheap kaleidoscopes I've seen that don't work at all. 9_9 The casing had a few minor dents, which I assume is normal for tin. I got this as a gift for a child, so minor dents are acceptable if it means the toy will last longer than a cardboard toy!.
My gifted students are learning about kaleidoscopes as part of a unit. This is exactly what I wanted as a kid. The colors are vibrant, and the kaleidoscope is a work of art in and of itself. A word of warning, however: Mine arrived with a small dent after being packed in a thinly padded envelope. If you place an order, you might want to ask for it to be boxed.
Exciting. It has a vintage feel to it. Metal. This is a fantastic old-fashioned game for both adults and children. Kaleidoscope in the style of a vintage kaleidoscope. Made to be of high quality. It takes me back to my youth. Although it is intended to be a toy, if you enjoy nostalgia, this is an excellent item to display on a book shelf or table. Graphics are very nice. Colors and patterns from a kaleidoscope.
This thing isn't even close to what the scope looks like. It has symmetrical designs in small "islands. " The blank half of the screen is still visible. What the. I'm not sure how this qualifies as a k-movie. scope. If you're looking for the real deal, this is the place to go. You will spend a lot more money if you have experience with scope.
