It's so nice to have small distractions around my desk since I literally sit at my desk for 8 hours a day. In spite of its price (although it is a bit pricey), I decided to give it a try. I let my husband play with it for HOURS when it arrived at my home. In the end, it turned out to be a good thing because there had originally been an irritating squeak that had been eliminated by that evening. As I took it to work, I sat it with other trinkets that I had with me. Everyone who entered the room was immediately attracted to it. The kids enjoyed it very much! The idea has now become a reality. Whenever people come to my desk, they cannot resist the urge to take a spin on it. There are people who apparently come to my desk to try it just for the fun of it. My only concern with this ball is the spin time, which according to the page should be 120 seconds, but I really have to pinch myself that I got 84 seconds. Good service. The ball is solid, nice looking, fun to play, but the spin time is a little short. I have to put a lot of torque on it to get it to work. It seems to be chattering as it spins so I am able to tell that it cannot be smooth.

Update As a result of my contact with the seller, they offered to replace my sphere at no charge. As a result, I have to award them another star for excellent.

There are 2 parts to this puzzle, and it spins long enough to be soothing, but the advertising should stress that it is not one piece Due to its lack of attachment to the main body, the base falls out when you pick up the sphere. When I received it and read the Amazon writeup, I found that fact buried in the small print. It's too big to fit in your pocket It can't be carried around easily Keeping track of the base that fell out of it when you picked it up is also a requirement. According to the Amazon write-up, the base is unattached in order to gain access to the bearings. It seems odd that the base isn't part of the structure, or at least if it were it would For those who are just buying the clock to leave on their desks forever, this review is irrelevant to them since it won't matter to them if they just leave it where they find it. - One star off because of the odd engineering choice and another for not making it clear in the write-up.
