There were three of them included in the package. The first doll has 6's painted on it. I didn't even take it out of the plastic to look at the other dolls' paint jobs. I couldn't resist giving it as a present, even though I don't want it in my home. It's going back to you. Be cautious before making a purchase. The listing depicts it with "squiggles" pointing in the opposite direction, rather than three distinct number sixes. Disappointed to the point of frustration.

Why does this product have so many positive reviews- I'm not sure. The finish is uneven, and it appears that the surface was not sanded before painting. There should also be some kind of sealant applied to the paint to give it a finished appearance, but there isn't. The wood is flimsy, and many of the pieces will not fit together without a strong push, and they will squeak if you pull them apart with force as well. There are a couple of pieces that don't stay put. Overall, it's a letdown of a collection!.

Overall, it's a solid performance. They're beautifully painted, open and close smoothly, are brightly colored, and come down to the size of a teeny-tiny doll. My daughter absolutely adores it and is overjoyed with it. I don't like that they aren't lacquered; there isn't any glaze or varnish over the paint, so it feels almost sticky, and a shiny coat of lacquer would look so much better. They're also very thin, so I'm afraid if they're dropped, we'll have to say goodbye to that one. It wasn't cheap, so I suppose I should have paid a little bit more for slightly better quality, but my 6-year-old daughter loves it.

I adore these dolls and play with them on a regular basis. I know it's silly, but they're so cute, and the hand painting is so lovely. They're a great conversation piece in the living room, and I'll definitely be purchasing another set. I hung them on the mantel above the fireplace with double-sided poster tape on the bottom to keep them from moving and the small ones from falling and getting lost.

Despite the fact that these are not authentic Russian nesting dolls, they are of good quality. My daughter enjoys playing with my mother's genuine Russian nesting dolls, but I didn't want to spend money on something that would only be used once. None of them are difficult to open, and finding one with ten dolls for a reasonable price was difficult.

I bought this set for my 8-year-old daughter's birthday, and she loved it. These are high-quality pieces with detailed art and decoration that I assume is hand-painted. The dolls kept on coming, each one a delightful and unique surprise; an amazing product from a reputable company. I'll return for my other children as they grow older.
