This is a great plush! There is no gross faux fur on this mane that is itchy to the eyes and nose and kind of never stops shedding. It is a fur of a much higher quality that stays on the Lion and does not float about. Despite how soft and squeezable his body is, the fur on his body is durable and soft at the same time. He has not broken a seam or suffered fur damage as a result of being hugged and squeezed.
I think this may be a good choice for kids with allergies, as it is well constructed and of good quality, considering the price. You should talk to your doctor to be sure, but he seems to be hypoallergenic, and so far, he hasn't caused any sneezing or itching. He is one of the best! Definitely recommend him!
