This wooden finger board is fantastic; it has little bearings in the wheels, just like a real board, and the grip tape isn't like gripe tape with the sandpaper feel; instead, it's more like a foam, but I think it's better than grip tape. Instead of buying a tech deck, I recommend saving your money and purchasing this. You can start with a tech deck, but it's entirely up to you! You should definitely get this!.
I recommend it to anyone who enjoys finger boarding because it has a great pop and a great price. You're not going to be let down.
Why don't kids simply go outside and skate? I'm not sure what you're talking about. My son was ecstatic to get his hands on this, and he's been enjoying it for hours. I'm not sure why more kids don't just go outside and skate, but I have to give this product a thumbs up because he loves it.
I have never had a better fingerboard. Awesome. I have never had a better fingerboard. It takes me back to my elementary school days. When tech decks were released (although it is of far superior quality to tech decks). The wheels are made of real wood and have small bearings. It felt like I was setting up a real board, and it's great for when my hands get restless or when I don't have the opportunity to skate but still need my fix of skateboarding.
After using tech decks for the past 17 years (I grew up with them), this is my first real fingerboard, and I can't believe I didn't get one of these p-boards. rep boards as soon as possible There is a significant difference. This board has a fantastic feel to it! The foam grip tape is ideal, the smooth bearings are fantastic, and the shape and concave are exactly right. This board is fantastic, and I will be purchasing more in the future. My only criticism is that the tool provided was inadequate. I couldn't get the trucks to stay put because I couldn't tighten the screws enough. I even went to their website to troubleshoot and tried the suggested order/screw patterning, but it didn't work. I ended up pulling out one of my old yellow tech deck tools, and the Phillips head part of it fit WAY BETTER than the tool they provided, making it much easier to get the trucks in. They have to be cutting the Phillips head tool incorrectly. At the very least, that was my experience.
This wooden fingerboard drew my attention because of its reasonable price. Unfortunately, the picture quality was poor. After assembling the first one, I discovered that the holes were misaligned. Apart from the fact that the screws are difficult to screw in, the assembly process is simple enough. When using the board, the holes were misaligned, causing it to pull right. As a result, I followed the instructions in the package, which state that if you have any problems, you should contact Broken Knuckle Fingerboards directly after consulting their website for assistance. I looked at the company's website and, after finding nothing useful, I emailed them at the address provided. It took a while to get a response, and when I did, it didn't even come close to answering my questions. It appeared to be a standard response that they sent to everyone. I replied again with my problem and images, but received no response this time. I made the decision to contact the seller directly via Amazon. This time, I received the same automated response that I had received via email! They eventually responded, but only to say they couldn't find any flaws. The trucks were clearly skewed and not in a straight line. When I became frustrated, I contacted Amazon directly, and they were able to assist me immediately and without difficulty. Then I get my replacement and discover that my first board was indeed defective; however, the new board was smaller than the previous one, despite the fact that they were marked as the same size, which could be concerning. I'm not sure what happened with the first one, but the quality of the second one seemed to be much better, so I'm returning it and keeping the second one because I'm much happier with it. I'm still perplexed by the fact that they're two different sizes. I wouldn't want another valued Amazon customer to have to deal with this issue, but the replacement appeared to be of much higher quality than the original, which is why I gave it a higher rating.
Instead, opt for a wooden Tech Deck. After only owning plastic Tech Decks, this was my first wooden fingerboard, and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed putting it together, which was not nearly as difficult as some reviewers claimed, but I did notice a few things afterward:
- On the wheels, the bolts protrude too far. When I landed primo, I scratched our kitchen table pretty badly (my wife had no idea). br>- The bushings were hard, which I don't mind; however, I prefer soft bushings because they feel more realistic. br>- I replaced the bushings with softer ones, but the kingpin was too long and scratched the surfaces. br>br>After about a month with this, I upgraded to a Tech Deck Performance Series, which is fantastic. The only better thing about the P-series is that all bolts are flush, it has rubber bushings, foam grip, and softer wheels (which are AMAZING). Within the wheel, Rep is the "bearing. " It actually sounds like wheels spinning on a real skateboard, and Tech Deck's wooden boards would be superior in every way to this board if they included a bearing.
Only four stars because the company should include some extra hardware in the bag for the unfortunate sap who drops the screws when opening it. I was so close to pulling it off. Way better than a techdeck in terms of feel and fingerboard. The most significant distinction is in the way it rolls. So easy to work with. br>br>I'm thinking of turning it into a keychain so I can do some quick slides around the office.
