Questions & Answers

Is it possible that these stars have a radioactive component?

Definitely not. They only emit very low levels of visible light, and only after being exposed to fairly strong visible, or UV light for a long time. Apparently, these other responders are too young (or perhaps just too ignorant) to know that mixing small amounts of radioactive material was once a common practice to create self-contained nuclear reactors. luminous "glow in the dark" paints and coatings, particularly for small applications such as watch dials and equipment panels. However, that hasn't been done in a long time. Those coatings did not need to be "charged" to glow; even a small amount of "radiation" (mostly alpha waves) was enough to make the phosphorescent material glow. These, and other modern "glow in the dark" materials, however, do not glow "on their own," but only after being exposed to light.

What size do the stars appear to be?

There are four different sizes in total. The big ones are quite big, but there aren't many of them. The two smallest sizes are overrepresented, which is unfortunate because the brightest stars are the largest.

What color does the glow appear to be? Is it truly white, or does it appear to be green or yellow in color?

It has a yellow-green glow, similar to that of any other glowing object.

Is it simple to take them out once they've been installed? Will the paint on the ceiling be harmed?

They're easy to take down and don't seem to harm anything, at least not my paint, which seems to chip when I breathe on them. xD They've helped me a lot!

Glow Stars with the Brightest Glow on Amazon! I don't usually write reviews, but after purchasing nearly every glow in the dark star on Amazon, I felt these deserved a five-star rating! The play on words was intentional
5/5

Before I found these, I purchased three other brands of stars only to discover that they barely glowed. So, in order to prevent someone else from making the same error, I took comparison photos. I taped each star to a wall and exposed them to both daylight and fluorescent light for an entire day for this photo. After that, the lights were turned off. The results after five minutes with the lights turned off are shown in the photo. As you can see, none of the others come close to matching these superstars. Other companies claim to be the brightest, but you will be disappointed. These stars, which are the third from the top in the photos, are the cheapest and brightest.

They're in good shape
3/5

Glow only for a short time. This pack contains a large number of stars. My 3-year-old son's small bedroom ceiling was easily covered by them. Even though I tried to use as little sticky tack as possible, I ran out before I could finish. To finish, I'll have to purchase more tack. In sunlight, the stars appear to be the most charged. The problem is that my son's windows face north, and the sunlight leaves his room far too early for them to be effective. I need to remember to charge his lights by turning them on for a few minutes before bed. His light is LED, and while it does charge the stars, it only lasts about five minutes. Time limit: ten minutes When I tuck him in and sing him a song, it's usually dark outside. They don't last nearly as long as the start I used to have on my ceiling when I was a kid, which would glow all night. I'm not sure how long they'd last in a different type of light, but they only lasted about 5-minutes. With the LED bulb, it takes ten minutes.

Paint removers should not be purchased
3/5

These are not something I would recommend. Even though they look cute right after you hang them up, you'll have to charge them for a long time just to get 5-minutes of use out of them. Glow for 7 minutes. But mostly because when you remove them, the paint comes off with them. We just took them down after about 6 months of use, and the majority of them removed the ceiling paint as well. Everything else took a half-hour of me standing on a ladder, trying to remove the remaining sticky without removing the paint with the sticky tack ball. It wasn't even close to being worthwhile. After that, I'd get a plug-in globe projector with stars.

Don't squander your time or money on this
3/5

There are supposed to be 150 stars, but the majority are about the size of a dime, and it comes with putty that sticks to everything except the stars and the ceiling. Worse yet, the stars only shone for 30 minutes. They weren't absorbing enough light, I thought. So I left the light on from 6 a. m. until 9 p. m. , when my son went to bed. Needless to say, I'm disappointed because they don't glow in the least.

Soon, I'll be purchasing again! I was hesitant to buy this product at first because, after reading a few pages of reviews, I couldn't find ONE where someone had tried them out under a blacklight! Since they were only $8, I figured I'd give them a try
5/5

I realized the blacklight and stars blew away any expectations I had once they arrived (the stars arrived very quickly). With just a few SECONDS of exposure, the stars shine brightly for hours. Advantages: br>br>
- It's a breeze to get everything set up. I divided the starts into sizes and then arranged them in that order (for a "small-scale" project). "significant" impact). Overall, it took me about an hour to set up all of the stars (I'm only one person).
- The putty that comes with the kit is excellent. I used a small dot, and only one of the large starts has fallen (I added more putty, and it's holding up fine now). There's plenty of putty as well; I've only used half of it and have already hung all of the stars.
- It's of excellent quality. The stars aren't flimsy or "cheap," but they're well-made and appear to be long-lasting.
- Also, it's possible that I was unaware of it or simply didn't notice it. These stars, on the other hand, have a GUARANTEE OF A LIFETIME GLOW! It doesn't get any better than that.
- I'm already planning to buy another pack of these because of the price! I should have bought two in the first place, now that I think about it. I mean, 150 is a lot, but I didn't waste any of it: (br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. )
- I wouldn't have needed to use my chair as a step stool if these stars hadn't made me a few inches taller. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative I'm glad I'm not the only adolescent who uses them. 90 of reviewers say they will use these for their children! But, at the end of the day, aren't we all just kids?br>2nd Note: I bought a blacklight that is a.

They're the same as they were when I bought them 20 years ago
5/5

I bought these for my then-girlfriend, now-wife, and placed them on her ceiling above her bed one night without her knowing, and when she went to bed and laid down, she saw them and loved them. I did the same thing for her above our bed 20 years later, and she didn't notice until we turned off the lights and laid down. br> They do glow pretty brightly if your lamps have light shining directly on them before you turn them off. If the glow in the dark material is activated with a bright light, it can last for several hours. The pack contains three different sizes. Small, medium, and large are the three sizes that are available. Starsbr> The sticky putty that comes with them is great, but it isn't enough to cover all of the stars. To stick them to the ceiling, you'll need a good size on the back, but if you use enough, they won't fall. One set lasted over two years on the ceiling before being removed by hand, and not a single one fell during that time. br> Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys the stars or wants to create a romantic ambiance for a loved one.
