It was packaged in a nice wooden box, so it didn't look like a toy. not in the least It is surrounded by a laced, leather band that adds to its appeal and quality. The telescope itself performs admirably for its size, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small gift or something simple to use. It was part of a steampunk outfit that I wore.
Our seven-year-old grandson will be visiting the ranch for the first time, and I've concocted a story involving "dwarf pirates" and a hidden treasure chest, so this telescope will be ideal. It's well-made and comes in a lovely wooden box. Even though the magnification is low, the optics are crystal clear. It's also the perfect size for a pirate dwarf.
My daughter has recently become interested in pirates of the Caribbean, and she has decided to dress up as one for Halloween. With COVID in the house, we couldn't help but have a good time. She hasn't thrown this spyglass away. I had originally bought one from Party City for a lower price, but it literally fell apart as soon as I opened it. This spyglass is sturdy, and it even comes with a well-made wooden box. This is something I would strongly advise others to do.
It's a fantastic item to give as a gift! It appears to be much more expensive than the price I paid. My pirate-obsessed father will be overjoyed to receive this as a gift for Christmas!.
