This is what I bought to go on my backyard pirate ship, and the kids love it. No, it does not magnify anything, but this is for your safety. Nobody wants a child to become blind from staring at the sun for too long. We live in the desert, so it's been battered by the sun. It's still yellow and green, but the green has faded significantly, despite the fact that it's only been outside for about four months in the winter/spring. I don't expect it to last more than three years at most before I replace it, but it's not expensive, so I'm not concerned.
It's basic, made of plastic, and doesn't have any magnification. br>br>The telescope comes with two screws that go through the yellow base of the playset and into the telescope. Because the top railing piece isn't thick enough to accommodate those screws without splitting the wood, we'll be attaching it to a scrap piece of wood or something before putting it on the fort's railing. But, to be honest, it's not a big deal. br>br>However, we're fine with it. Because, regardless, our children enjoy looking through this telescope. It also encourages children to use their imagination. If there are any problems with it holding up to normal kid play, I'll post an update. Otherwise, we'll assume we're happy with it and that it's well-made!.
I really like how it turned out. We've dubbed it his pirate playground because of his ships wheel and pirate flag. br>br>I wish this scope could zoom in a little more, but I knew it wouldn't before we purchased it. I wish the base was a little more difficult to remove, but my son is usually good about keeping it put. He has a hard time putting it back in place when he accidentally pulls it off. I'm satisfied with it overall.
My son's treehouse now has this addition. The telescope can be moved from the base from end to end or completely removed. It doesn't have a magnifying glass inside, but it can focus on one thing while not zooming in. Regardless, he employs it on a regular basis!.
This was purchased to go with the playset that I built for my children! I like how it detaches and they can use it to "explore" the yard. It worked perfectly and is a good size for people of all ages! If you have more than one child, I would recommend getting two because my kids love playing with this add-on and one wasn't enough for them! I would highly recommend this product.
I chose to use 8 x 1-inch screws instead of the tiny screws that came with the telescope because I was dissatisfied with the tiny screws that came with it. 5/8" deck screws are used in this project. Pilot holes should be drilled with a small drill bit. The installation process takes less than 5 minutes. The color on the Swing-It is a good match for the Swing-It. Pirate Ship Wheel is a slide game. I'm looking forward to having the Grandkids try out the new telescope!.
Great. It contains some "optics" made of plastic, but it does not magnify. br>br>The yellow base is attached with two stainless wood screws (approximately 1 1/2" long) that are included. A ball attached to the bottom of the telescope pops into the yellow base when it is used. The only thing that keeps it in place is friction. It can be popped out by a strong child. Mine has spent the entire winter outside, unprotected.
This was purchased as a playhouse for my three-year-old. It was a breeze to set up. It's something she really enjoys. I like how she can easily take it out of the holder and walk around "exploring," then return it to the holder when she's finished. If you want something that will stay put, this is not the product for you. If that's not a concern, this is a fantastic multi-player game. make use of the product.
