Excellent value for money in a gift that works surprisingly well

It's a nice present, but it's not as big as it appears. The minimum focal distance is quite far, and most people will think it doesn't work well if you look through a window screen or anything closer than 50 feet or so. It's a functional brass and leather scope that takes a little getting used to operate but works rather well for the price. It comes with a simple leather case that, while lacking in comparison to the product, is still preferable to a crappy little bag. It's a lovely spy glass to look at and use, though it will quickly show signs of wear and tear. Overall, the quality was far superior to what I had anticipated for the price.

It doesn't work at all

This telescope/spyglass was given to me as a gift. I have no right to complain about a present I received. But I got it for my birthday from my lovely wife, who wanted me to be able to enjoy the wildlife from the deck of our cabin more. She was overjoyed to be in charge of something that / supposedly / I would enjoy. I'll never stop loving my wife. This telescope/spyglass, however, is a complete waste of time. It's completely ineffective. Please do not purchase!.
