Yes, and the image (from a 6" model telescope) is stunning and razor sharp. I can read digital readouts from a distance of 25 feet that are too blurry for me to read from where I sit. It looks fantastic, smells like freshly oiled leather (despite the fact that it isn't real leather), and I adore it. The power is low (approximately two watts). 50% of full power Longer focal lengths or fringe colors on bright objects are required when using high power scopes. When only a little magnification is required, the low power is a huge plus. Too much magnification has a number of disadvantages, and only gullible customers are impressed by high power figures.
It didn't smell like oil in mine. however; Unpleasant odors can be removed with cedar wood chips or a cedar block in the closet. Simply place it, along with the cedar, in a small box for a few days.
NO, only the 18"telescope can be used for distances of 100 yards or more.
Hello, Ricardo. I live in Alaska, and I took my scope outside to look up at a mountain about a mile from my home. I would have been able to see deer if they had been present on the mountain. It got pretty close to it. It's a toy, but it has a good range, and I'm looking forward to giving it to my grandsons. I hope this information is useful to you, and I wish you a pleasant day. thanks

As if it were a telescope for pirates. One night, while browsing Amazon with my 7-year-old son, he came across this telescope and thought it was fantastic. As if it were a telescope for pirates. I bought it for him after he put it on his Christmas list. He was overjoyed to find it under the Christmas tree. It comes in a small wooden box, which he adores and plays with all of the time. Although the telescope and box are of poor quality, they are ideal for a child. The telescope is easy to pull in and out of the box, and it fits snugly inside. In general, I am pleased with my purchase. What matters is that it made my son happy. I'd tell others about it. br>I try to write reviews that are both entertaining and informative. A plastic one would cost three times as much at Toys R Us, so a metal one with a solid wooden box for only $6 is a steal. It's absurd to be fifty. My son is enamored with it and has spent the entire day with it. He also enjoys the box and always returns it. br>br>This spyglass isn't pirate-themed, but rather nautical in general. There aren't any sculls to be found. There are no skulls or crossbones on the top of the box, just a nice ship's anchor design. So it doesn't have to be a pirate-themed toy, and the child can play with it however they want. This is the spyglass to get if your child enjoys pretending to be a pirate or a ship captain. This would be a fantastic product if it cost $20 or more, but it only costs $6. It's fantastic to be 50 years old.
For Christmas, I gave my toddler this miniature telescope as a stocking stuffer. Jake and the Neverland Pirates, treasure hunts, maps, and so on are some of his favorite things, but the glass was cracked when I got it. I emailed the sellers to inform them of the situation, but I never received a response. Even though the glass isn't falling off, it's cracked all the way through the center of the circle, I still gave it to my child to play with. It doesn't seem to bother him all that much. If it weren't for the crack, I would have given it more stars. br>It's also very small, but it fits nicely in toddler hands, and the box that comes with it is nice; it can expand, but it's difficult even for me to do so, and I have to use a lot of force to do so.
My 3-year-old is obsessed with a "spy glass" at the park where we live. So I promised him that for his third birthday, I'd get him his own spy glass. This was exactly what I needed. It was cheap and small enough that it wouldn't be used against his older brother. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but it's really well made for the price, and my 3-year-old has figured out how to dismantle it. However, putting it back together was relatively simple. I'm not sure how much magnification or range it has. Things are magnified a little about 20 feet out. We weren't too concerned about it because it was a toy. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a toy or prop.
The image is fantastic and razor sharp (6" model telescope). I can read digital readouts from a distance of 25 feet that are too blurry for me to read from where I sit. br>I tried a similar-priced optic and found it to be unusable, but this little scope is excellent. br>br>It looks fantastic, smells like freshly oiled leather (despite the fact that it isn't real leather), and I adore it. However, this 6" miniature item is of decent quality and is priced well below what I would have been willing to pay.
For a toddler his age, he has a lot of imagination, and he makes up elaborate stories for our pretend play sessions. Jake, from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, is a favorite character of his. I came across this while looking for gift ideas for his 3rd birthday on Amazon. With the low retail price, I wasn't expecting much in the way of quality, but I figured it was worth it because the plastic Disney ones were even more expensive and less likely to last as long as metal and leather. I also purchased a toy treasure map, which I was able to fold and place inside the box's lid. It was a close fit, but it worked out. The wooden box is very nice, and the box and telescope are both very well made. The telescope performs as well as any single-lens spyglass, and it has also entertained our older children. It comes highly recommended from me!.
Nothing is magnified by this device. It's as if you're looking through a roll of toilet paper.
br>br> The lenses are not optically coated and are made of glass. Yes, as a 3x mediocre-quality scope, it 'works. ' The box is strange in that once closed, it REFUSES to open without the use of a tool (knife, screwdriver), but it appears to be well constructed with brass hinges. It's just difficult to open!.
