I'm not sure what I'm saying. I haven't used it much because it was a gift.
Selected User Reviews For Coco Interactive Guitar by Mattel
This guitar is incredibly popular among my daughter's friends. It does exactly what it says. We bought her a small guitar strap to make it easier for her to carry. But I'm kicking myself for not checking out the Disney website first, because it was significantly less expensive.
I realize he's too young for this guitar, but he adores it! When we're watching Coco, he grabs it and puts it in his lap, strings it up, and strums it while Migel is playing his. Too cute. The guitar is in excellent condition and arrived in a large box. When you press the buttons, it turns on and changes the cords.
This toy has acceptable sound quality. It does not, however, have any strings attached to it. My daughter only wanted a small toy guitar with a few strings to play with. When she strummed the strings, I hoped for a toy that would play pleasant music. Her little hands weren't strong enough or coordinated enough to strum the guitar, but she could push the buttons. We came back because we were desperate for a toy with real strings. This controller is more akin to a Guitar Hero controller.
This was the sole item on our daughter's Christmas wish list. She aspired to learn to play the movie's songs on the guitar. I understand it's a toy guitar, but the music isn't what you're used to, and the only popular song from the film you're taught is "Remember Me. " " My daughter enjoyed it for about 5 days, but for the reasons I mentioned, she stopped playing with it. It was $20 more than we would have paid in the store, but it was Christmas, and everything was sold out. Otherwise, I'm sure I'd have tried to persuade her not to do it.
My Coco-obsessed nephew adored it, and all of the children at the party begged their parents to buy one for them. Auntie comes out on top.
The guitar has a good build quality. Sturdy. It includes a book that teaches you how to play "remember me" as well as some traditional folk songs, which is terrible. We tried repeatedly to play remember me step by step, but it sounded nothing like the song. It's not even close to it. Aside from that, if all you want to do is make guitar strumming sounds, this is a fun toy. Although it was overpriced, it was pleasant.
This was purchased for a three-year-old who is a huge Coco fan. When I pressed the interactive buttons and "strings," it seemed to play Coco songs. Unfortunately, no. You must read the music book and learn how to play the instruments on your own. This was deceiving to me. Because this is a plastic interactive toy, I wish it would play the songs. I would have ordered the so g book and had him practice on the real guitar we already own if I wanted him to learn from a song book.
This Coco guitar is a big hit with my son. It's a fantastic present.
