The marbles are roughly the same size as a standard marble. Not big.
I don't believe so, if you're referring to the plan for the large main set. Simply go off the reservation! Making up your own tracks is a lot of fun, especially if you try to include as many expansion pieces as you can.
I got this for Christmas last year to go with my Gravitrax set. This was an add-on to the original set that the parents had purchased.

I like the Scoop, Hammer, and Magnetic Cannon in general, but the Flip can be a flop at times and isn't reliable enough to use in some layouts with a lot of curves or tight tolerances. br>br>An example is: br>br>So three tile high layouts with Flip, done. I spent hours designing the rest of the layout; everything is densely packed and fantastically designed; I can't wait to see it all come together. Three balls are launched, each on their own path, with the story following the Ball with the Flip stunt. br>br>Ball rolls down rails, activating Flip (so far, so good; it works the majority of the time, so no complaints). br>br>The ball has moved up one level on the plate and is now moving! It's starting to take a turn for the better. It collides with the Hammer but does not cause it to fire. FLOP! There was only a 5 inch distance traveled before the momentum energy ran out. FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FL br>br>I physically pick up the ball and send it down the small whirlpool hole to the catcher, which triggers the Flip once more and. . . Maybe this time there'll be enough momentum to set off the Hammer? FLOP, it's too weak. Attempts a third time and succeeds- If there are more than one curve from FLOP to Hammer, the Wimpy FLOP will not be able to send the marble with enough momentum to trigger a Hammer. That's right, two curves are too much for one person to handle! A distance of more than 5 inches is excessive.
To use this and many other add-ons, you must first own or purchase the starter kit. They're well-made and entertaining for people of all ages. Yes, the starter kit is pricey, but it is durable and can be played for hours; the accessory pieces are all unique and simple to incorporate.
In our house, we adore Gravitrax. My sons spend hours constructing and experimenting with their creations. With the exception of this one, we've enjoyed every accessory we've added to our collection. It's a fantastic and exciting concept, but it's not feasible. It won't turn all the way around to continue the marvel's journey, but instead gets stuck halfway through and comes to a halt. This is extremely disappointing.
Despite the fact that I've only had the flip for two days, I already think it's a fantastic addition. There are only two issues with it. Something will occasionally cause it to flip before the ball arrives, and it will also occasionally fail to trigger even when the ball arrives. This is, however, most likely due to a lack of speed on your part. However, as I previously stated, it is an excellent addition, and I believe you should purchase it.
The addition of the flip is fantastic. Gravirax is a lot of fun for my 6-year-old son.
Those effects were purchased in twos by me. Both of them went down in a flash. My children enjoy gravitrax, but the effect isn't worth it. Try a different approach.
br>This is the only extension that adds energy and height while also sending the ball backwards rather than forwards, which is useful in some situations.
Excellent.
