The LED marbles are made up of two pieces that have been joined together and sealed. However, we strongly advise against giving these to children who may swallow them, as stated on the front of the box: If ingested, it can be fatal. Thank you for your inquiry!
Although it is a single track, you can build side-by-side tracks for racing fun. While you're at it, pick up an "elevator" accessory that takes marbles from the bottom and returns them to the top. It's a lot of fun when you're with the kids!

I originally bought a $40 Marble Run set for a friend's 7-year-old daughter on Amazon. After assisting her with the first run, I became hooked and ordered one for myself, as well as one for my daughter and husband, who were visiting for the holidays. With a few extra add-ons like the Elevator addition, you can get into some complex design stuff that will keep adults entertained for hours while still being simple enough for small children to enjoy. This is a fantastic project for a family. On the down side, it can be unstable and complex structures can collapse, but what the heck, that is part of the fun. Ons are inexpensive via Amazon, and for this review I got the glow in the dark marbles, which are kind of "trippy. " It was well worth the investment!.
I just got it this morning and had to get right to work building it. The pieces are well-made and fit together quickly but securely. It is simple to follow the instructions. Plastic light-up, plastic glow-in-the-dark, glass sparkle, and regular glass marbles are the four types of marbles available. All of this is placed in a black mesh baggie, which is also included. My five-year-old is already completely enthralled. I haven't even attempted to use the app for challenges yet.
The instructions were fairly clear, and the structure is solid, but the marbles get "stuck" in a number of places. Some of the action sequences aren't at an angle, and there isn't enough speed for them to progress. It's a nice set, but it's not worth $70 because it has too many flaws. We'll try it a different way (not according to the directions) and see if it works better.
This is the second set I purchased for my 4-year-old as a birthday gift, and he absolutely loved it. It includes a wide range of marbles and one-of-a-kind components to make the maze even more spectacular. The directions are a little difficult to follow, but they are doable. The only drawback is that the plastic pieces do not have a place to be stored. We're fortunate in that we still have one from the first batch. Overall, the set is of a good size for children, and they can use it to let their imaginations run wild. I strongly suggest it as a birthday present.
My granddaughter and grandson enjoy it, but I'm disappointed that after one day of play, three of the flashing marbles have stopped flashing. I didn't get the glow marble light that was advertised on the box. It appeals to them because it is transparent, allowing them to track the marbles, particularly the flashing ones. It was a little frustrating the first time I put together a run because I had hoped for a book. If you are unfamiliar with marble runs, the book they send is not very helpful; instead, you are directed to a website where you must download their app to watch videos. Because I was only using my phone, the video I started watching was difficult to see and was fairly generic. I eventually gave up and went to their website to look at some of their beginner examples. Once you get the hang of it, building marble runs is a lot of fun, and my 7-year-old granddaughter can do it quite well. It's now enjoyable for me to assist them in the construction of marble runs. I recommend it, but be patient with yourself if this is your first marble run.
This is a fantastic little marble set! They are a great addition to my growing collection, but they do have a few (admittedly minor) flaws:br>br>- Because of the components inside, the LED marbles wobble a lot. This isn't a deal breaker for most people, and when they move quickly, the wobble is somewhat cancelled out.
- On occasion, the glass marbles will have surface chips (possibly due to bad luck on my part), but nothing dangerous or out of the ordinary.
- The plastic marbles are almost perfect lmaobr>br>Overall, I had a great time with this set! Minor flaws do not deter me from purchasing this item; I had a lot of fun watching these light up and glow, and they are among the most unique in my collection of already interesting marbles. All marbles are 16mm in diameter, in case you were wondering!.
We weren't expecting this set to be as good as it turned out to be. An LED light activates some of the marbles, which is quite cool. This set has left us all speechless. I would strongly suggest it.
This was a gift for our grandson, who is turning three. For the 5, they already had a few sets. The three-year-old enjoyed the 1/2-year-old. So we looked for something that would work with what they already had so that both boys could have a good time with mom. Help from my father. It was a hit with them. The smaller/shorter and simpler versions are made by the 3-year-old. The older one has the ability to make things taller and more complicated, and they both enjoy it when dad gets involved. This is an outstanding product.
