When I bought this book for my son, he absolutely loved it because of all the words and pictures, but it never worked for him. There were times when the left side wouldn't work and it was extremely difficult just to get the right side to work, even for adults. In retrospect, I realized I made a huge mistake not exchanging it. I thought maybe I could change the battery etc. and that took me quite some time. I am angry with myself that this book never worked for us and was extremely expensive.
There are 12 pages in this toy. Interactive activities are all part of the learning process.

It is recommended that children are 18 months to 4 years old. The choice of words is just right for a two year old, but would be too simplistic for a four year old or older. A younger toddler may not be able to use it well. There is a note in the user's guide that says not to use more than one finger when touching an image Make sure your hand does not rest on the page".
