My son is 14 months old, and he is absolutely enamored of these cars. Particularly our favorite feature is how well the wheels roll, unlike some other toy cars that don't roll as well on hardwood floors. The wheels roll very well compared to other toy cars which don't roll as well especially the sounds and lights on them make them very stimulating and exciting for him as he does not get bored with them at all because they do more than just roll around on the ground. Their songs are really cute too. I think that it is useful for him to learn about different types of vehicles, such as cars, fire trucks, etc. Also, I saw the same VTEC go go go cars at my local Walmart, and they were nearly $10 apiece, so this is a great deal to get three of them for close to that price. The cars and race track that go with these VTEC cars are very exciting for my son and I would love for him to have more of.
It tells me a car will move on the track, so I totally expected it to do so. Basically, these cars move a couple inches and the child has to keep pushing the back of them to go a few inches further. The dexterity is lacking, so this is absurd. It's not like I have the dexterity either. In the end, the car falls off the track getting displaced in some manner so that it can't run on the track. I would NEVER have bought them if I wasn't expecting at least to run on the track. NOT A GOOD GIFT AT ALL. His love for them is unconditional. My mistake was that I thought the other car was just broken and so I bought this set. The results are not good. We do not have access to honest products any more. The VTECH brand is one of my favorites.
The new ones I got are a cartoon face, which I thought was rather awkward considering they're meant for an ambulance and have an EMT on it.
