There are no switches on the unit so you can only push buttons if you want it to work. The year is It is liked by her old granddaughter. The phone still takes the cake for me.
I think it would actually be a good resource for a toddler learning the ABC's and the 1's
it has an on/off switch near the back that allows it to be turned on and off.

But, hey, he doesn't mess with my phone, is he? I would definitely buy it again if I had the chance.
The only reason I purchased this was to take my kid on an international trip. We usually avoid battery operated toys because my kid turns into a zombie when she has one. Despite being a hit, it wasn't without flaws. Since the screen is backlit, she can still see the graphics even while driving or flying in a dark environment. With this play cell phone you can choose between two volume levels that are neither exceedingly loud nor particularly soft. It is a benefit to me, rather than a drawback! There has been a lot of discussion about how quiet this toy has been. There is no agreement between my husband and me. Even from the back seat of our car, we can hear it clearly. It's loud enough for our little girl to hear it. In a loud environment, you would not necessarily hear it, since it's not too loud. Neither we nor anyone else has any complaints regarding that. The fact that it contains several interactive games is appealing to me. Our toddler still asks to play with it all the time even after we have limited its use to the car now that we have returned from our trip.
A young toddler will find this phone useful. You can press the buttons to make it speak and light up. You can choose from various modes, including a guessing game and a number game. Children can push the number to find out what it is and the number will be illuminated. This seems to be very durable since my two year old has dropped it or thrown it a few times and it still works just fine. It has two volume settings and a function that turns it on and off. Despite short periods of interest, he seems to like it overall, and I'm sure he will accustom itself to matching the numbers, etc. when he gets a little older.
The toy is a learning toy for children. Compared to most electronic toys, it is very cute and quiet. The cell phone is not that different from the old fashioned telephones we held up to our ears to talk. A kids' toy is included as well. The little ears that they have are sensitive. Later in life, you don't want them to have an excuse for not listening to -I bought it as a gift for my nephew who is 2. As soon as he saw it, he was excited because it looked like a real cell phone, but as soon as he looked closer he realized it was not an iPhone and lost interest. The baby food pouches in the same gift bag seemed It may be more entertaining for him to pretend when he is not hungry or a little more into pretending. You can play some games and sing some songs about numbers on the phone, and talk to Scout (the dog mascot of Leap Frog). My personal opinion is that adults who have never used a real smart phone or tablet will enjoy it, but for children who have played games on a smart phone or tablet will enjoy it as well. They are probably unlikely to be interested in such a topic.
The phone is utterly captivating to my granddaughter, as it is with most kids. It looks like she is trying to stalk me, as she takes 100 pictures in about 20 seconds and calls china. I bought her this phone because neither her parents nor I want our phones drooled on or poor unaware people said baby noises, so I didn't want to risk it. This is not an iPhone, so the "apps" (aka buttons) are stationary (YES, babies can discern However there is a volume control on the side of this phone, and so overall this phone keeps her happy and prevents her from trying to steal other people's phones.
She loves the color, the fact that she feels like a big kid with it, and the fact it's a cool phone. The case has held up well even when she drops it frequently.
Almost none of it can be heard. The game only holds my daughter's attention for a short period of time, then she moves on to the next one. Please allow me to return this item.
This toy is my favorite for car rides when my 14-year-old daughter is with me The month - For long rides, the old need to be distracted. This game is cute, and the images move when it's played, so it's Although I think it's quiet, I believe it may be due to the batteries it comes with. As a parent, I find it helpful as it doesn't bother me, but in loud environments, if my daughter cannot hear it, she loses interest more quickly. It has an overall good vibe to.
