I wonder if this book is meant for toddlers older than one, since we have a 1-year-old who doesn't seem to care about it. Josh just keeps asking to press buttons every 2 seconds, and the book says things that are annoying. My personal opinion is that the words we chose to match the letters are not appealing. It is a little annoying how much there is talking. You're too distracted and stimulated by it. As soon as you neglect pressing a button even for a second, Josh will tell you to Just take a deep breath and In my opinion, it's a problem that it has a blaring sound even when not being used, yet is still "on" when not in use. When a kid's toys come off, they are still technically powered on, but they become quiet, and if they make a noise at all they may encourage them to play later. As long as you don't turn it off, this thing will be on non-stop. It was given to me for my son's birthday, but also given to him by someone else, so we now have two and I don't even want one of them. There are also the rest of these new Blue's Clues toys that were released recently. There is nothing particularly impressive about the toys, and all of them are disappointing. I think this one is okay since it is leapfrog and I get the whole thing, but I think it might be a little annoying and FOR SURE is a toy The one that I will keep for when he gets older will be stored. Isn't it possible that if he's older, he'll understand it more and not find it so irritating? It's not clear to me. Despite being cute, it comes across as a little too juvenile. We are just not in the mood at the moment.
The gift was for my daughter as a special way for her to smile while daddy was away at work. You should reward her for her hard work!
