LeapFrog vs. LeapFrog vs. LeapFrog vs. LeapFrog v VTech was chosen because of the possibility of personalization. br>First and foremost, the screen is far too dark for children (or even adults) to see what is happening. The sound is good, and there are a lot of cool features if you connect to your laptop and load various materials. The cable, on the other hand, isn't included and must be purchased separately for $5. On Amazon, it's 99 cents, which is a total rip-off. To put it another way, $25 would be the price. Instead of $19, you'll only have to pay $98. If you don't have a cable adapter, it will cost you $99. br>There's also a problem when it comes to naming the child. My child's name is not one that is commonly used in the United States. I assumed I'd be able to manually enter my baby's name, but you can only select from the options up top. I emailed customer service twice (once for the cable, and again for the name), and received NO RESPONSE. br>br>I would have given it a higher rating if it 1) came with a cable and 2) allowed me to manually enter the name of my child.
This toy is obsolete in the age of low-cost smartphones and tablets, and it is not worth your money. The LCD screen, which is black and white, is extremely small and difficult to see. This toy laptop has a lot of games and activities on it, but they aren't very fun or challenging for children under the age of two. Boredom will set in for children aged 3 and up, and they will prefer to play on a tablet or iPhone with more apps and videos. Although I like the concept, it's difficult to recommend this product when there are $100 Kindle tablets aimed at children.
This was purchased for my 15-month-old son, and he enjoys it, though the screen is difficult to see. He is unable to use all of the functions, but he is able to operate the buttons and recognize the words and sounds. This toy has the ability to be played with again and again. My only complaint, and the reason for his disinterest, is that the screen is extremely difficult to see. I wish it was available on a larger screen.
I enjoy purchasing toys for my children. I figured this would be a great addition to my daughter's toy collection because she is obsessed with all of my technology. She is already 20 months old and enjoys playing with this toy. My daughter enjoys the fact that it makes noise, even though she has no idea how to play the games. Instead, she enjoys turning it on and off and playing with the mouse. I gave the toy four stars because the screen is small and in black and white; I wish the screen had more color and was larger so that baby could see it better. Overall, it's a fun toy for the kids, and my daughter has thrown it a few times, so I know it's sturdy. In general, it fulfills all of the requirements of a toy.
My daughter was 11 years old at the time. months- When I bought this small VTech laptop, I was about ten years old. She's always trying to get her hands on our electronics, so I decided to get her something of her own, and we've always gone with VTech. This laptop lived up to the brand. br>br> It is very interactive, and even though my daughter didn't understand the games, she enjoys hearing the characters talk and hearing the sounds that are made when she presses the keys on the keyboard. In my opinion, the laptop is best for older toddlers, around the age of 2, who can better grasp the concept of the games in order to get the most out of the product; however, it is very, very durable (my daughter is currently exploring her "throwing" skills) and the batt is very long lasting. br>br>The games are educational in nature. teaching spelling, music, and a variety of other subjects that benefit young children's exploratory development.
This is for my 15-month-old grandson, and I bought it for him. He adores the moveable mouse (though I wish it could be detached as well), as well as the character and modes it offers. He's a very active kid who frequently uses the laptop as a'step stool' to reach items. Regardless of how he uses the laptop, it has never failed him or stopped working. This laptop is fantastic! With all of the levels and games, this will keep him occupied for a long time. This book comes highly recommended. Though I will say that he may be a little young for this toy, I am glad I purchased it.
Perhaps it was due to our lack of perseverance in bringing this toy to our toddlers, but they never showed much interest in it during the 18 months we had it, and we eventually gave it away. It appears to be more suited to a three-person team. 4 year olds who know their letters and can pay attention long enough to follow instructions. Unfortunately, by the time they reach the age of three, they have already spent hours swiping away on iPads with far more engaging graphics and programs.
The screen is so dim that it doesn't appear to be a computer at all. A bright screen is available on the newer models in the store. My son isn't even interested in this toy.
