I purchased this for my daughter's Leappad 3 to provide additional protection in the event that she drops it. It was simple to install and fit perfectly on the Leappad. She is also a huge fan of purple. This protects well on short-distance drops, but it won't provide much protection if dropped from a great height.
I believe that this helps to cushion the blow when the kids drop it. All of the holes/openings are perfectly aligned, allowing the entire screen to be seen. br>I was debating whether or not to purchase a carrying case. We simply put the games in a pencil pouch and carry it around with us.
This is extremely beneficial. My three-year-old daughter enjoys playing on this tablet, and her cousins occasionally use it as well. It's simple to say that it'll never end up on the floor. Of course, this is not always the case. This shields our happy device from the destruction I refer to as my daughter, as well as her proclivity for destroying her possessions. Other things scratching against it, such as forks, spoons, and bottles, are also useful. All I can say is that I'm sure my daughter will rip the protection sleeve to shreds one day, but for now, it's being used and abused happily!.
However, it is very thin overall, and I do not see how this would be the best case for a device designed for small children who are rough with their belongings. It's better than not having a case at all; I just wish it was thicker so it could absorb more of the impact.
This is exactly what I was looking for to protect my daughter's leap pad 3. Even my husband, who isn't usually a fan of cases, says it's a pleasure to hold. This adds a layer of safety to protect against falls. We did order a screen protector separately, but I am very pleased with this case.

I didn't have to buy her a whole new leap pad in pink or purple; all I had to do was replace the gel skin. Her "new, lovely computer" has made her very happy.
