It was a big hit with my kids when I got the Homofy spy kit! The item they are most fond of By far the best The spy pen writes with invisble ink and reads with a UV light in a cap it was ingenious, but not well received by the public. Wow, what a cool website! It was a bit disappointing that the dusting powder for the fingerprints was missing, but we substituted cornstarch and it worked just fine. It is a decent quality detective/spy outfit that can be worn for Halloween in the fall. During the time of this review, the set is offered at a low price. In fact, I would pay more for it if the instruction booklet was written by a native English speaker, or if the manufacturer took the time to proofread You should read what is intended to be read and followed by children. Because of that, I have taken a star off my rating. one is not as involved as the one we did, but it is still a lot of fun. To find clues, costume pieces, and skills, you must learn some skills. Despite the fact that there is only one detective costume, we were able to divide the accessories among the children. As far as dress-up is concerned, there is obviously more that can be added to this kit. There is nothing special about the materials. My impression of the costumes and props is more like what I would see at a Halloween costume store. But everything is fine with them. There are no real detectives on the job! There is definitely a skill to be learned in this area. Within the kit are a number of experiments you can conduct. There are a couple of methods a child can use, either to teach themselves and then perform on their own or with the help of When I was in high school, I was really hands-on We had fun doing it together, so I went on with my kids. A number of things around the house had fingerprints on them as we came up with different scenarios. One can choose to take part in it or leave it out according to their preferences. In order to do the fingerprints, you will need corn starch or baby powder. Cornstarch was the only thing I could find in the house because I did not have baby powder. I have reviewed the following product I have mixed feelings about this kit. The homofy Detective Role Play Fingerprint Kit for Kids Forensic Science Detective Costume Spy Kit for Kids seems impressive and fun to play with. It comes at such a high price that I have high expectations. The parts that meet my expectations are great, but those that are very disappointing are not. In terms of the accessories, the spy outfit, glasses, coat, and hat all are great and a great start. The finger print record book is great, and the rest of the items are ok, but not worth $50. With the exception of the powder, this kit contains everything you need to actually do fingerprinting and baby powder or corn starch can be used instead. In theory, this kit is for kids 6 and up, but I would say that it would be more appropriate for kids at least 8 years old or most of them would need As a consequence of the candles in this kit, supervision is required. In this set, the language in the instructions is the most disappointing aspect. Stem's writing is lacking in grammar, and there are words missing, etc. For a Stem item, this is a disappointment. Instead of learning that accuracy and correct grammar are not important, the kids are learning that it would have only taken one edit to fix those problems. I love this set - it's so cute I was surprised at how big the venue was. A large kids' shoe box would not fit inside this Among the accessories are a hat and many other items. I really like the magnifying glass - it's really good quality It's not the type of plastic one that we get in collection kits for bugs. In my opinion, the price ($24 as of right now) on this item is reasonable. The manufacturers don't make it very clear that there is no fingerprint powder in this product. Due to the word "role play" and the fact that the powder isn't listed in the listing, that may be the case. It wasn't clear to me if it would be in there. It is possible to stamp the fingers, but powder is not available. According to the instructions, you should keep some baby powder in the plastic light bulb to use from time to time. It's a good thing there is no black powder, in a way. There is no way my kids could clean that up! The other downside is that all the other items (tape, brush, etc) are not included, while the powder is not. If the seller would have included a small bottle or packet of baby powder, it would not have been difficult and would have been thoughtful. As a whole, it's a cute and fairly thorough kit, but not a huge investment. There's nothing spectacular about it, but if you give it a 5 it'll be fine As a gift, it would likely be appreciated by a boy of nine years old.
