You would need to add 1/16" to each inch. That means your 6' is 5'11", but if your child is only 12" tall, you will be fine. I love it!.
Since when does anyone under 6 inches even exist? There is even an option to measure your family pet A hamster might be a good candidate. I love that!.
I just noticed how bad the fade is after just six weeks with this hung up! A cold can only last for a year or two at best, let alone as long as a child has a cold. A door separates it from direct sunlight also it is not hung in direct sunlight.
As it is not paper I am not concerned about it tearing easily and it not being paper. It would have been great if instructions were included in the box to hang 5 cm off the ground. It occurred to me after I mistakenly marked the kids' heights on the chart. I had to correct them after reading on Amazon and realizing that kids' height measurements were off by a lot.
This is a totally cool thing that we can save for our daughter and write on it. The first time I thought about buying a growth chart, I was going to spend a fortune, but then I decided this would be easier. Let's face it, in 30 years our daughter may hold onto this since it is easy to store. My guess is, if I bought her a big wood growth chart, she would throw it out at the first sign of trouble. A few minutes were needed to hang it. I just used command strips to make it and it looks great.
Great purchase. I'm very happy with it. As far as hanging it goes, I did it the first time. The 96" off the ground was a bit of a challenge, since we hung it by a loop and not with a traditional picture hanging device (whatever you call it). When I hung it on the loop it dropped a bit. I thought I had it right, but my mistake. If you would like to hang, plan for that while you are there.
It is very durable and can be moved in any direction. At first I thought it was paper but it turns out to be a sturdy Recently, we have been in the middle of a move and being able to roll up and pack it up was very convenient. Your room will look great with this piece if you are going for a farmhouse or rustic look. This is a highly recommended book.
I like this little gift for the baby shower. It was a big hit with the mother to be. It is accurate, so if you are wondering if it is accurate, it is, so I gave it 5 stars for now. I will keep an eye over it and hope it doesn't fade after some time. This is a good design to clear molding and that you can attach the top and bottom flat against the wall. However, you will need to place it a few inches off the ground because the foot is short. Despite the fact that the color has held up fine to date, I had placed it out of direct sunlight for safety's sake, The markings on this should be able to remain intact. While the markings on the ruler will not fade, they will fade on the permanent marker. Hence, if it needs to be kept out of the sun, just keep it covered up.
