Yes, it comes packaged flat, but I wouldn't bring it to a classroom because my two-year-old ruined it in less than a month. It's cheaply made, and as cute as it is, it's not worth the money you pay; find another toy chest instead.

It was cute to me, but it was delicious to my dog. It didn't make it through a full day of work. He began by leaping into the room and chewing the clothe. We've gone through five toy boxes since he was born, and he's only seven months old. He has plenty to chew on, so I'm not sure why he despises his toy boxes so much. He kept his belongings in a wicker box with a cloth lining. Sewing the lining to the wicker had become tedious for me. It was thrown away. We now have a large blue hard plastic box with a large enough opening in the front for him to enter. He can chew on it all he wants; it won't hurt him. He might scratch it, but that's it. Do not purchase this box for dogs; it is intended for children.
