We used to have Sterilite totes that the kids kept in their closets for their toys before purchasing this. It has proven to be durable since the Christmas season, about three months ago. It is intended for my boys, who are young and very destructive. It is difficult to comprehend how destructive they can be without first knowing them. If this toy box has lasted this long without breaking, I think it will last for years to come. In order for each boy to have his own, we are planning to buy another one. It isn't the right time to open that can of worms. I hope all goes well.
The next one I will buy is on its way. The plastic totes that my children used broke, I bought this tote, put it together in under a minute, and it looked great. The work would be a lot less difficult if I didn't have little hands to help me. So far I like it but wish it had more structure on the bottom but I'd probably turn it into a hope chest for my little girl if I got another one.
I really liked the design of this toy box. Unfortunately, the quality isn't good. I haven't had it in my home for 24 hours and the paint is scratched where it just touched the wall when I opened it. The lid did not close completely, it had a half inch gap, which is not that big of a deal, but it still looks bad. It makes sense to me that it should be less delicate since it's supposed to be a toy box for kids. My toddler is afraid to play in and around it after I've helped him clean it up. There is no denying that this thing is not cheap, though I paid slightly more than it was worth because I considered it fashionable and functional. Once painted, it will be less eye-catching if all the paint chips. If you want a new toy box, I'd suggest getting a different one.
It is a toy that I bought for my kids. This looks very nice but dent very easily, so I wouldn't recommend it for objects that are extremely hard to handle, or for children who are rough with things. It took me a year for the screw that held up the lid to break on the inside of the lid latch. Apart from that, it seems like it is good, provided it is not.
It is a joy to look at Myself I was able to assemble the kit. There is only one thing I don't like about it, which is how it's not very durable on the bottom. I don't think the weight of the toy is a problem, but my child would probably break it if he tried to climb inside like kids do. The only thing I dislike about it is the graphics. Despite being one, my daughter is able to open it and close it easily and has taken no damage to her fingers. The safety of the workplace is excellent.
The price and size of this item was good, so I bought it after doing research for what seemed like forever hoping to find something of a decent size at a reasonable price. Since I've had it for a while, I use it daily and it still functions as if it were brand spanking.
This is not a toy chest for kids. However, it would make a nice addition to any decor or family room. This makes even the hardware extremely fragile, as even the screws easily break. During assembly, two screw heads twisted off without any effort on our part. This is destined to be destroyed by kids, and even a gentle child will crack or break it when used normally. There is no shortage of splinters.
