Not in the least. There was no shedding at all. It's just cotton that's super soft. For the sake of protecting it from shrinkage, I'd recommend drying it on a low dryer temperature.
I own the elephant, which is in excellent condition (washed). The elephants have a denim gray color to them, in my opinion. It's difficult to tell; it could be black, but the almond color is varigated, so it looks denimish to me (the reverse side is the same color as the elephants - However, there are no elephants in this version. The background color is pleasant (a light brownish/gray that is not yellow in the least).
I bought this, and while there aren't a lot of extra inches to tuck in, I prefer not to do so with these blankets. They have enough length and material on all sides to completely cover the top queen mattress and tuck it in four to five inches. I am perfectly fine sleeping in a cool room around 66 degrees, but to each his or her own. br>By the way, I despise having my feet suffocated under blankets, and these blankets are incredibly soft, light, and comfortable. I originally purchased it for summer use, but I have yet to replace them, despite the fact that it is now January 2021. br>I don't think you'll be sorry you bought these blankets; they're soft, incredibly easy to wash, and very attractive; I give them as gifts to visitors and they all rave about how comfortable they are. They also express their gratitude for the gifts they received from me. These blankets would not be adequate in extremely cold climates, but I live in Oregon, where the weather is moderate.

My only gripe is that it doesn't look anything like the photo. The reverse side of the Grey feathers is grey, not pink, as advertised.
I tried sleeping with it, but it couldn't keep up with my breathing. Would become too hot. It was a pleasurable experience to sit in it. It came out with accordion-like ridges all over after being washed on delicate and dried on delicate.
The feather blanket for twins was purchased. On the other side, it was supposed to be pink, but it's gray instead. The product remains appealing to me, but I'm not sure I'd have bought it if I'd known it wasn't exactly what I was expecting to receive. Mostly for the sake of principle. I'm seeing an increasing number of Amazon listings that aren't what they claim to be. These days, it's difficult to trust. However, the blanket is nice in general; I just wish I had received the blanket that was advertised.
UPDATE AFTER ONE YEAR: During the summer of 2020, I purchased two of these (who didn't need some comfort at that time?). They're still going strong after all these years. The hems haven't unraveled in the least. They appear to snag easily, but despite having two cats and a dog, the blankets have only suffered minor snags. I bought another one because I like them so much in the summer. br>br>I ordered the feather twin size, which is incredibly cute and soft. It's not as soft as a synthetic, but I didn't want a synthetic anyway. This is as light as a feather, but it keeps you warmer than a sheet. I have a few of those box/waffle weave 100% cotton blankets and I find them too heavy and scratchy for me. I wish the queen was available in some of the more mature prints. br>br>My only criticism of this blanket is that the inside is grey rather than pink. It's fine, but it's not what I expected.
It's incredibly light and airy. It's soft but not fuzzy, and it's ideal for lounging while watching movies if, like me, you get hot easily. The design is incredible, and it's easily my favorite blanket. The spots on the horses are actually tiny stars. The blue is a subdued denim that can be worn by anyone of any age or gender. After the first wash, strings can be seen around the edges, but there are no signs of unraveling. Nothing that a baby's fingers could get tangled in. It comes highly recommended. I'm thinking about getting some more to give as gifts.
I like this blanket, but I wanted to let you know that the back side of the feather print blanket is gray, not pink, as shown in the photo. Aside from that, it's a cute little thing.
The colors are true to life and coordinate with my bed skirts and other bed linens. I'm allergic to wool and many synthetics, so it's nice to cuddle up with this light and airy blanket and not wake up itchy or with a stuffy nose. br>br>The only criticism I have of this product is that I wish it came in a FISH design. The elephant, on the other hand, is absolutely stunning. br>br>However, if you prefer to be tucked in snugly, I don't think this blanket is for you. suited to the task When I flop from side to side, I prefer to have my feet and legs free.
