The system runs well, but there are some issues with the smoke.
For just one piece, it's expensive.
Had I smoked more I would have felt better.
I broke right away. Using the locomotive two days later, the wheels of the locomotive broke and locked up.

The drive rods were hanging by a small hex screw, but seem to be The good thing is that I caught the chain before it fell off (otherwise I wouldn't know where it was). My reason for writing this is that it very well could have just been jostled loose during shipping, so I understand. Please double check before using this for the first time so that you make sure it is truly on. A second advantage is that it doesn't produce much smoke (even at just The heating element does not get hot enough because I use the same Lionel smoke fluid as I do with my other engines and I put the same amount in. Even so, there is a faint smell of smoke. Having said that, it runs just fine now and I have no difficulties keeping it on my 18" curve EZ track layout (that As well as having a great deal of details, I find it very impressive.
