Thomas the trains have been a favorite of mine and my son's for quite a while, so when I saw Skarloey I had to have There is a perfect running N scale train set I bought for an affordable price (better than most of them anyway). This is a scale that is considerably smaller than HO, but it is more accurate in capturing Skarloey's size. I am amazed at how finely detailed it is. I am anxiously awaiting the release of Bachmann's Rusty doll to add to the little collection I have.

N scale seems to be more appropriate

As for Skroloey, it looks good but seems to be more N scale than HOn30 scale. The box instead of blister packaging, which is what is found on the HO scale, is a nice touch. I immediately got the job done after installing. My couplers are different from the ones that were supplied, but I was still able to connect them to an N scale car. This is an HO scale narrow gauge engine that runs on an N gauge track. See the other cars made for Skarloey for connections.

If small children come to visit my layout, I always include anything Thomas based on their interests. The kids get excited when they see anything with "Thomas. " This little guy is excellent at doing his job.

This was a waste of time and money

It fell apart in a matter of My Bachmann USA model has nothing like the quality of Bachmann Branch Line. I had a 009 Baldwin 4 as a kid. It has been running on 0 for about a year and a half with no problems at all.
