The weight of the tank car is low, according to NMRA rules. However, I have not yet had time to purchase any HO rolling stock that comes close to matching what I need. If you drill a small hole on the underside of the flatcar and add something to increase the weight, you can increase the weight with a little extra effort. It is important to ensure that the weight is evenly spread between the trucks, Although I'd like to believe that this is the seller's fault, I'm baffled why manufacturers fail to weight rolling stock properly, especially at this price point. A perfect fit is made between the coupler height and how well it rolls. The product was excellent. I would purchase it.
I like the color and the fine details of the tank roll smooth and don't derail. I can't see it well from the pictures, but the bottom quarter of the tank is a nice dark gray and you can see the rivit detail clearly.
There was a problem with the coupling of the tanker, so it was.
It rolls and looks good.
To go along with it, I bought five of these cars. Two more cars were ordered after I was so impressed with the cars. I really like the way my layout looks with them.
The three I received look just like the prototype, so I'm looking forward to including them in.
It fulfills the description exactly and runs like a charm.
