I can't deny what a marvelous bit of engineering this is (sorry, no This unit does everything from sweep to deburr to polish to vacuum to N gauge rail cleaning. The only negative aspect of this book is that it only contains Japanese instructions. While the illustrations give me a good idea of how to use it. I would like to be sure I'm utilizing it as it was meant. Can you tell me what type and brand of liquid goes into the liquid reservoir, for instance? Can you tell me in what order I should use the Can it be run per cleaning session for a certain length of time? I have searched the internet for English instructions but have not found any. My approach has been based on logical reasoning so far. It is hoped the manufacturer will realize that if they expanded their target demographic to include more countries than just Japan, sales would likely improve. *Editor's note If you are one of these lucky people, maybe you have the instructions in English or know where to find them online. If you are that person, can you give the rest of us a hint?.
Despite this, it comes undone more easily than conventional rolling stock, and the first time I ran it through a tunnel, I lost a foam applicator to clean it. the replacement of cleaning wheels only, Nonetheless, it's a good solution for track cleaning. A UPDATED VERSION It took two years for one of the power pickups to fall off after light, occasional use for two years. My attempts to reach the manufacturer's website were unsuccessful. The contact form didn't work and I couldn't find any helpful information on its website. Bottom line Decent product, but it probably won't last long when it breaks.
Three of the car's most significant problems are There were no English translations available on the Internet for (1) the instructions are in Japanese. There is nothing I know how to do with (1) The car has Rapido couplers which have largely left the scene. Most modelers who will purchase this car will use Microtrains or a similar product. (2) The model can not be converted to DCC since it is DC only. In this case, most modelers who would buy a car like this use DC instead. In defiance of the fact that time marches on, the manufacturer 15 years ago, something good was good. Now, it isn't good. This car is the best purchase I have ever made.
My N scale layout was quite surprised to see how much debris was vacuumed up by this track cleaning car. It made a lot of dust, lint, loose ballast, and small pieces of pink foam board. To fix this, I replaced the Rapido couplers with MicroTrains couplers (following instructions on Mike Fifers YouTube). Since I have other cars for cleaning the rails, I only use it for the vacuum feature. I paid over $100 for this, but it has been completely worth.
I don't know because I don't read Japanese, so I don't know if it will work! Unfortunately, I am unable to find an English version of this model online. It is extremely irresponsible to sell a product like this without making it available in English.
This is a pretty awesome vehicle! I had to reach for a handheld vacuum even after vacuuming with a handheld!.
There was only one issue the instructions did not have an English translation.
