It's fuzzy and has the texture of static grass, but it's not very tall. It's made of plastic, nylon, and paper, and it's fuzzy and has the texture of static grass. Excellent for dioramas or scenery.
I haven't used it in a long time. I'm pretty sure I used some sort of sticky glue. I only used it for small spaces, so I'm not sure how it would work in a larger setting.
It's fuzzy and has a static grass texture, but it has a short nap (the grass isn't very tall). On a diorama, I'm using it to simulate a mowed lawn.

It's decent - Despite the fact that the grass does not cover the entire paper backing in each sheet, br>br>There is about a half inch of exposed backing paper—it's not a deal breaker, but I had to cut it off to make it look good. br>br>If you're looking for 20"x20" of model grass, you'll get about 20"x19" instead. Due to the fact that the photos clearly show grass from edge to edge, I thought I'd mention it.
This would work well on a landscape for a model railroad. It's simple to use and performs above and beyond my expectations when it comes to cutting out the precise area required. As long as the folded area does not exceed the square in which it is folded, which is unlikely. The fold crease is to blame for this. I also noticed the following: After you've applied it and are still working on it, don't put anything heavy on it that might leave an indentation. It will press down on it and/or leave a visible ring. Overall, though, I enjoy it. It's really good.
It was a real letdown. br>br>1) Each sheet is folded into four quarters, with the grass discolored and clearly visible at the seams. br>br>2) Do not use this product if you intend to use glue to lay down multiple layers of ground effects. These sheets will be severely warped by the glue's wetness.
FOUR PERMANENT LINES IN THE TURF were created by folding the paper in half. Yikes.
As it is, it appears to be completely fake. That should be possible with a little paint. I'm satisfied with my purchase overall.
Each mat arrived folded in four pieces. Getting creases out and laying flat is extremely difficult.
Someone has used the cheapest flocking on a paper backing and then folded it in an unusual way into four sides. I'm guessing this was made in the same jail where the license plate contract was lost.
There is a lot of turf in this package. For the price, I think you get a decent amount of grass, which seems reasonable. Way better than similar products that give you a small portion of something for a high price.
