Is this something that can be done outdoors?

There is no way that it will survive outside for long. After a good rain, the flocking will wash away.

Upon completion, the tunnel is ready to run. It runs two parallel lines. There is no assembly required. As an option, you may wish to add accessories of choice to the dam on top. Noch can supply products to enhance the dam on top.

It has a double oval/helix track with a total of 5 lanes. Would the openings to the tunnels be wide enough to fit a 5" wide screen?

Hello Kimberly, I only have a single HO scale track, but I was so impressed by this tunnel that I purchased it regardless and I absolutely Here are some measurements I took for you so that you can decide whether to purchase it or not. Both of the sides of the mouth are slightly shaped like horseshoes and measure four wide. Its base is 75" in diameter, and its height is 5 feet. It is 25" wide in the middle with a height of 4" at the center. There are two inches of track width on a single HO track. I think you might be able to design your curve in such a way that your double track is butted up against each other so that they equal 4", then there should be 1/8" clearance on each side, and then this tunnel may well work. Despite its dual track design, this tunnel was built for double tracks. In order for the tunnel to function as expected, the curves need to be exactly next to each other without a gap between them.
