If I knew, I'd be in a lot of trouble. It's a soft, squishy black foam.
Yes, a lipo battery would be cushioned by it.

Okay, these will help your Mavic Pro last longer. Platinum version of the Mavic Pro. The bottom rear set is as simple as taking a pocket knife and cutting downward from about half way. Don't punch through it; that would defeat the purpose. You'll want to leave some padding for landingsbr>br>I got a little more creative with the front feet, cutting the pads to match the angled shape of the landing gear. Then a dot and a couple of thin duct tape strips. A dot, to be precise. There isn't much super glue on the end of the duct tape where it could unravel. Alternatively, you could go to Fantom Drone Works and purchase similar pads without having to fabricate them. There are no spaces on the website. I like them because they're rubber and not as heavy as the standard plastic landing gear add-ons. The ones at FDW are made of a nice rubber and are quite large and bulky. These ideas for your Mavic Pro or Mavic Pro Platinum will not let you down.
They're a little taller than I'm used to, but in the grass, that can be beneficial. I recently took advantage of the taller profile and shaved them down a little at an angle facing the front of the quad so that when I run fast near the ground and scrape the ground, they tend to slide rather than catch, allowing me to keep going rather than tumbling my quad. If I had one complaint, it would be that they stick so well that I have to use alcohol to remove the glue before replacing them. However, that is preferable to them falling off due to minor bumps.
Super sticky first ones I put on haven't fallen off yet not even close and also comes with basically a lifetime supply of them with I believe three sheets of 24 per sheet so you won't be running out anytime soon if ever great products and doesn't add really any weight while keeping your quad safer on hard landings or just normal landings on concrete that eventually mark up your frame or start to do damage it would be great for people first learning as wranglers it would be great for people first learning as wrang.
This stuff comes in a variety of brands, which I've tried. They've all been fantastic for me, and these are no exception. I now use a lot of frames with thin arms and cut the foam padding down to keep the adhesive rock solid and the padding stiff enough to avoid bottoming out during landings. Having said that, I do use isopropyl to prep the surface and allow it to dry completely. After lightly heating the pad and the surface with a heat gun, I mash them together for a few seconds while they cool.
After a few more difficult landings, I decided to investigate them further. So far, I'm quite pleased with them! I deducted a star because one of the ones in the box was damaged (the bottom looks like it was sliced where the adhesion meets the paper, and a large chunk of one side was taken out). br>br>I'm glad to have a supply of these, and I'll be installing them on all of my quads in the near future, with extras in my field kit!.
The only reason I gave the adhesive four stars is because it's ridiculously strong, and once it's been applied and left alone, it won't move without a lot of effort (even with a small curve, they're fairly thick, so don't expect it to wrap around tight curved surfaces). A big thumbs up!.
This isn't a deal breaker in my opinion. Except for one minor detail that is not a deal breaker, it is perfect for what it is designed for. Still a good deal! br>The adhesive on these pads is so strong that the pad will literally rip itself apart before it gives way. That is the only criticism I have. Once I've attached it to my drone, I simply wrap electrical tape around it, and it works flawlessly. My hard landings and ripping the pads did not result in a loss of stars, lol. This is an excellent product.
If you want to land on concrete without scraping your motor screw heads, this is a must-have. If you crash hard enough to rip one of these off, it won't be due to a lack of adhesive; every time I've done it, I've had to scrape off a bit of the pad before replacing it.
