These puppies are absolutely fantastic and well worth the $12 price tag. They give my Redcat Lightning drift a more realistic feel. The only upgrade is a 3s, but they peel out, slide, and correct angle just like a real tire. I'm balding and I run on asphalt, but that's to be expected. Those who are unfamiliar with the process of glueing will be relieved to learn that it is actually quite simple. Warm some water on the stove so you can handle them comfortably after pulling them out of the water, wipe them down quickly, tuck the foam in and stretch it a little to fit over the rim, line it up, and put it in the freezer for a minute. While preparing the glue and alcohol pads, set aside to cool/warm on the counter. Gorilla clear gel was used in this project. Starting from the side facing you in the car, push just enough to get the tip of the glue in, quick squeeze and follow the line on the rim, same with rear wipe excess, and you're good to go after 24 hours; they've never slipped off and I've driven at 48 mph. br>Excellent deal; I'll buy from you again.
I'm not sure what speeds it was at, but the wheel began to rumble at some point, and it took me a while to figure out what was wrong. I didn't anticipate the wheel being the source of the issue. I began conducting controlled tests and discovered that the tire's rubber would morph in response to the centripetal force created, causing it to fly off the rim. Then I tried some of my old wheels that I had lying around, and they worked perfectly.
These are what I'm using on my TT- The 02 tires are a little shorter than the stock tires, but they grip the asphalt well even with a layer of dirt, and I was able to get some drift action by letting off, then hitting the throttle, then letting off to gain traction, and the car goes where you point it. I'll probably buy it again for general street thrashing. It comes to a halt quickly and corners well.
This is without a doubt the worst set of tires I've ever owned. Within 10 minutes of starting it, this happens. I'm not sure what to say; I believe the image speaks for itself.
01 & In the future, I'd purchase more as needed. I've only had them for a short time, but they're working fine for me right now. br>By the way, I belted the tires with Gorilla Tape, and they don't balloon at all when I press the gas pedal.
If you put these on a brushless drifter, you'll have some really hot tires. For the price, it's sturdy and well-made.
These wheels were purchased to go with my Tamiya TT01E on-road touring car. I'm very happy with them because they work well and were very inexpensive. For your RC car, you can't go wrong with a set of $9 wheels and tires.
After 10 minutes of use, the tires came off the wheels. br>br>I wouldn't recommend these because the tires keep coming off even after they've been reinstalled.
