Great product. Based on the product description, I expected the product to be able to charge other batteries, but it only works with A Spectrum battery is the only one that is recognized by this unit. It is a shame that Spektrum did that! I've updated to As a result, The instructions on the manual state that one must double tap the button to start charging other batteries. The Smart batteries at Spektrum Thank you Spektrum, but it's too late. It's always a good idea to read the manual twice.
Great.
Since there aren't many features, it's hard to tell you what to say. What it says on the tin is what it does. I had a couple of hits and misses, however The following hit With only one button, this charger has an intuitive interface, is easy to use, and the instructions are printed right on the device. As it is a simple charger with no frills, there is no screen needed. In any case, the charge status indicator with four levels is a nice feature. Once the charging process is complete, the device sets off a loud tone to indicate that the charging process has finished. As long as you don't disconnect the battery or unplug it, it will keep beeping periodically. By contrast, there's no need to wait around for the unit to finish when it has already done so, like with units that don't beep or beep once. Among the misses I'm just gonna mention one. Chargers themselves are quite small, but AC adapters measure more than twice as large. If you are concerned about where you will store it, and how you will transport it, then that could be a positive factor for you. It would have been better if all components had been housed in a single, larger housing for something this small. The use of fewer individual items and tidy wiring would make storing and using the system less of a hassle, according to my view.
Considering how simple the charger is for charging a variety of batteries- the price is great. A variety of lipos have been tested at NIMH. The user sets the type of battery, then sets the desired amperage/charge rate, then Spectrum batteries begin charging. In case you don't use Spectrum brand batteries, you just need to double press the button to start the charging process. The whole process is a little tricky at first, but it's not difficult to master once you've mastered Despite it being so small and light, the charger's AC power transformer is almost twice as large and heavier than the actual charger. While I don't have a lipo battery to discuss, the NIMH battery it uses is wonderful for quick charging, or for slow charging to extend battery life. It even has a tiny fan inside for cooling. I don't have any problems with my batteries getting hot when I charge slowly My phone is not in need of fast charging.
I used it twice, and both times I had a hard time getting it to turn the battery on. The Spektrum battery charger did not work with any of the batteries I tried. Chargers that automatically turn on when a battery is plugged in are necessary for me. During charging, the battery is fully charged. The last thing I need is a charger that must be stroked in order to The only function on this charger which works is the warning beeper, so if you like loud warnings, then this charger will be right up your alley. Perhaps I am tripping over my own words, Spectrum's products often seem to be of a cheaper construction, becoming increasingly unreliable with age. How do you use a smart My opinion is that it is not.
To choose the type of battery, hold the button to select the current then press the button again to select the type of battery. In order to begin charging, it is necessary to "double-press" the button. During this process, pressing the button twice continuously just results in a second cycle through the current selection. I can't get anything out of 2 medium presses. By holding down the button for too long on the first of two presses, it starts cycling through the different types of battery. It's not clear to me what a "double press" is. I'm going to keep trying it and swearing until I give up on it as useless for non-smart batteries since it seems "tricky" based on other reviews. How could Amazon make such a choice?.
My new LiPo 2s battery was charged from 25% to 80% with this charger, and I know that because the battery has a built-in charge indicator. I was unable to tell whether the charger was done charging or just getting started when charging a LiPo battery I had no idea what was going on. LiPo batteries are not compatible with this charger, as there is no way to see what the charge level is. It does not show the state of LiPo charges. It has an indicator for other types, In the past 48 hours I have left it charging for my battery, but it didn't change its charge. The packaging is exceptionally good on the plus side. It would make more sense to spend another 10 dollars on something that shows charge progress for all types of batteries.
This charger is a must-have if you get a brushed Arrma RC vehicle that comes with a NiMH battery. It can charge the NiMH in a reasonable amount of time about an hour as opposed to many other chargers. Charge time is over six hours with the charger that matches the connector on the truck, and it requires the same plug. Lipo is left open for those who wish to experiment if they wish. I'll tell you about the bad stuff. As far as I can tell, there is no storage mode on a charger that can be considered "smart. ". If that's the case, you will only need the basics This is the bare minimum that should be included in a lipo charger. As a result, I do not recommend this charger if you plan on using * * * Also, although the price is low, they should include a couple of accessories so it is more complete. If your smart battery is brand new, you may need to update the firmware, for which you need a $12 cable. Furthermore, if you want to play 3S with this brand, you will probably need an IC-5 to IC-3 converter, which is The company should provide these services free of charge or at a lower price.
It says it can be used to charge other batteries not designated as smart batteries, but I have not been able to get it to charge anything except those designated as.
