Questions & Answers

Do these look like the gear set for the micro servo used in the summit, the Traxxas 2065?

The Traxxas Teton is not a Traxxas, so I used

What kind of gears are these?

Just like the originals, these plastic gears are also made from plastic.

Why do the gears strip immediately after re-installing them What does assembly look like?

Check to see if the Servo Saver is functioning properly. After my servo saver got stuck with sand, I had to remove the servos.

Does this work with the Teton steering servo by Latrax?

The answer is yes. This is the perfect match. It would be a good idea to upgrade the servo, however. My servo stripped out a gear and I replaced it with this set only to have it stripped out again five minutes later. The stock parts I have are all present. This is not a lipo run for me. If it was going to strip out, there shouldn't be any reason for that. It must be made from plastic gears since that is what is causing the problem. While I understand that keeps costs down, I would like them at least to give you a metal gear servo for the money you are already paying. Thank you! I hope this helped!

It's a lot cheaper to fix the servo rather than to buy a whole new one
4/5

The servo on a LaTrax SST will be equipped with these. With this model, it is very easy for the servo saver to become stuck in silt and fine sand, so it will strip at least one gear easily. It was a small tooth on the second to last to the servo that stripped on mine, if that's any help, A splined shaft runs through the arm. The gear I replaced was the only one out, but I have the replacements on hand in case any other gears fail. This is an excellent item to find on Amazon since it does not need to be replaced if one gear does not work. Exactly how often do I need to repeat this process? Although I don't want to, it isn't hard at all if I do have to. As I work with the servo-motor, I will pay more attention to its functionality You'll be able to save more. Click here to zoom-in Spraying oil on it released it but it gunked up faster with oily mud (of course). A quick shot of Aero Kroil seems to work better at not attracting and holding muddy silt. I'll inject it at the end of each run from now on! Gaskets and O-rings are used on the servos in these models Keep an eye on those rings upon re-entry Putting the parts together. The complete gear set is shown in a diagram, and there are no instructions, so it is clear enough for me to assemble it. In general, I would like to see metal gear substitutes for the plastic ones. I want to emphasize that I do not hold this product responsible for this fault and this is not a product issue. If the SST is small enough, it should not cause a problem in the future The saver appears to be working properly. If I strip any more gears, I'll follow up with an update.

This is a waste of money, I would not recommend buying it

Perhaps the problem is with the servo. have purchased this gear set to replace a broken gear on my Latrax servo, which is made by Traxxas. Easy disassembly is one of the benefits of the 2065 servo. I however had a problem when I slipped in the last gear they were rolling smoothly when I placed them (I made them roll with my fingers). After that, the system went into a stall. Moreover, I applied some grease to There have been many times when I have disassembled and reassembled it. When I got to a certain point, I decided to turn on the car and connect the servo. Again, one of the gears broke (the same one that was broken originally). In other words, six bucks were thrown away. It appears that one of the thin axles on the servo was bent (there are two axles on the servo). Despite the axle being not very firm, the vehicle still ran. It is my belief that this is what caused the first stripping, and it happened again in the replacement gear as well. In summary maybe these gears are not the best Similarly to what I had, if you have another problem with your servo, you will need to replace it. Currently, I'm trying to buy a metal gear servo (2065X part), which means that I'm taking the risk of paying $50 for it.

Gears are made of plastic and do not last
4/5

Item was delivered ahead of schedule. Exactly the same as the original, it was a As a result, I am giving it four stars because I couldn't even watch two seconds of it. My servo arm moved forward when I put the plastic gear in and turned the vehicle on. I moved it back by using my transmitter and I heard a click. I'm not sure why Traxxas used plastic gears in this servo, but they did not last. Interestingly, it was the same gear I broke the first time around. I broke a tooth on it this time around. With that in mind, I was able to sculpt a replacement tooth on the gear and temporarily fix the issue. As long as I am able to upgrade the servo, this will hold.

Simple to replace the old gear with the new, and a good choice for anyone who wants to repair their micro servos on their TRX4.

You should not buy if missing parts are present
3/5

I would not recommend buying. A few parts are missing. I have purchased this twice. Despite getting replacements we found that the same parts were missing.

I'm not going to use these plastic gears at all! The second I switched on the server of my LaTRax Rally, I lost all the teeth of one of the gears

I'm not going to use these plastic gears at all! There is no other way for you to repay me than six dollars!.
