A electric setup is required for this product, not a nitro setup

Can this shaft be used with a spur gear?

This kit has a slipper clutch as its output shaft, which is connected to the spur gear by the slipper clutch. Therefore, this kit does not have a direct connection between the spur gear and any part on it. On the stock slipper clutch, you can use either the #4470 or #4472 spur gears.

A relative amount of strength can be found in the gears, which are made from white nylon plastic. As long as your old bearings are in good shape, you do not really need to purchase new ones. Sadly, my electric conversion with a Castle Creations 1515/Mamba Monster ESC on a 6S LiPo didn't work out well with these. For best results, I would recommend it for use with Nitro only (as they were specifically designed for Nitro) or with a 3s or 4s battery.

The brushless motor is not strong enough

I liked how easy it was to install and the way it looked to start A smooth transition was achieved by everything. It could not be converted to brushless. A few short runs caused the teeth to be sheared off.
