Is this because there is no adjustment hole for the shocks on the rpm 2WD shock towers, but they have a 3 hole option for the 4x4 shock towers? Would you be able to ?

The strc ones are all that you need. There aren't many people who buy them to race or tune them. This is the reason I think

Are you able to use this with the Rustler VXL?

Yes, it will work for any Rustler XL5 or VXL

These towers seem to flex a lot more than my stock towers. Will they be more rigid?

Yeah, it's quite a bit stiffer than before

As you can see from the photo, this is one of the few pieces I replaced that wasn't RPM plastic parts are almost all of what I currently have installed on my Rustler. There's a bulkhead I think is still Traxxas (I think), and I know RPM is good quality for many applications, so to me plastic is better than aluminum. You wouldn't want to hit someone with one of those aluminum cars because they are easy to scratch and can easily get scraped. For anyone new to the hobby, the RPM plastic bumper would be the first thing I would recommend (or any car for that matter but plastic is better than aluminum). I broke a bone in my shin once when a Rustler went pretty fast. My accident might not have been as severe as it could have been.

For those with Traxxas Rustlers, this is a must-have accessory! With RPM parts (red), I replaced most of the stock shock towers, arms, center bulkhead, bumpers, and wheelie bar

Each of our cars has one of these, and we have purchased three of them. Having them on our team has been a great experience. The ring is still doing well for my son after 2 years, and it's been great since he got it. The new parts are far better than the stock ones.

As a result, this tower was much stronger than that included with the Traxxas Rustler. I'm not sure if it made any difference in handling, but I'm guessing it will survive a crash better nonetheless.
