The thickness and feel of the plastic pleased me, and they appear to be durable. They snapped on with little effort, and the folding/unfolding action is relatively simple, which is a plus for being able to store your drone in a bag. br>br>I took away two stars because of the following: br>While these are attached to the drone, the Gimbal cover cannot be attached. You can sort of jam it in place, but that put more strain on my gimbal than I was willing to bear, and it's a little janky. br>While they go on easily, they don't come off easily - I ended up unclipping the front clip (by the gimbal) with the help of a key. br>There was very little interference with the two rear rotor arms - This is admittedly a nitpick, but these landing gears push against the rear rotor arms when the drone is folded. br>br>The fit and finish of this product is good, especially for the price, but I'm not willing to forego my gimbal cover for them - Instead, I'll remain on my landing pad.

The Mavic Air, like all DJI quads in the Mavic series, has a very low profile and a gimbal that is very close to the ground. This is an excellent design, and I have no reservations about it. However, unless you are certain that you will be landing on a flat and smooth surface, you should consider purchasing this set of TOMAT skids. br>br>I don't have much faith in the notion that I'll always be able to land on the best surface. I'm also not a fan of the idea of attempting to 'hand catch' the drone. That is, in essence, a dangerous move. You risk cutting your hand or causing damage to the plane. And, because the gimbal is extremely delicate and susceptible to damage, it must be safeguarded. Something obstructing the gimbal's natural movement can cause it to malfunction. These errors are not always resolved by restarting the aircraft. br>br>The best way to keep the plane safe is to A) make sure you have a safe landing spot and B) do everything you can to keep the gimbal safe in any case. br>br>For all of my Mavic series aircraft, I have these TOMAT skids. They carry out their duties to the letter. They're simple to put on and take off. They only add a small amount of weight to the plane. Just enough height is added to provide the gimbal with the most important protection. When not in use, they lock into the working position and then lock into the folded position, making them very easy to store. These skids have made a big impression on me.

Although the product fits on a 2S, I've had some issues with it. First and foremost, once I removed the gimble protector, it was simple to install. It's much more difficult to take it off; I don't blame them for wanting it to fit snugly, but putting a lot of pressure on an expensive unit, especially near the gimble area, is cause for concern. This is a disaster waiting to happen, as I've already had two Air 2's crack in the gimble area. I'd like to keep this landing gear on all of the time, but the Air 2 S's landing gear prevents you from using the gimble protector or removing the Micro SD card. Because the camera on the Air 2S is twice the size of the camera on the Air 2, I've seen the landing gear in a few photos. videos. I'm thinking about returning it at the moment. It would be a home run if they could make it a little easier to remove and leave an 1/8" area around the Micro SD port.

I usually put the drone setup in a secure location at home and don't worry about the gimbal. But, except when in use, I'm finding that I have to keep the landing gear off all the time now.

I would have given it five stars if installing it didn't necessitate removing the gimbal cover. The gimbal cover will no longer fit once it has been installed. It would have been nice if it could have been designed so that both could be used.

The landing skids give this drone just enough lift off the ground to make takeoffs and landings noticeably smoother and more flawless, as well as plenty of room for the gimble during startup. It's a huge improvement, and it snaps on and feels rock solid. When not in use, it tucks away neatly and doesn't get in the way of my custom foam insert drone hard case. as if it didn't exist. It's fantastic, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Just go ahead and purchase it.

Everything is very tightly clipped in (legs into each other and onto the drone), perhaps a little too tightly. To the point where removing and replacing the legs would eventually cause damage to the drone. I don't think the clip will last very long now that I've had to stretch it out a little. Is it okay if I turn it on? Sure, but the gimbal protector isn't compatible with the landing gear, and I won't be able to store the drone without it. So. Is $12 a good investment? Nah. $5 is a better estimate. br>br>Get something different, honestly.

This landing gear was purchased to replace another landing gear set that had more parts, one of which was lost in flight. This landing gear is ideal; it stands at the ideal distance from the ground, snaps directly onto the drone, and I don't have to worry about it falling off during flight. I believe I should have bought this product first as the primary landing gear. . . wish I had. This was an excellent purchase. The money was well spent. One person's honest opinion is all there is to it. Test it out for yourself.
