The RPM plastic and a decent BOCA bearing will always win in this conflict. In combination with their aluminum stuff, the blue balls from traxxas wear out It seems the stock plastic at least bends a bit, these ones don't. It is believed that aluminum transfers energy into other parts that cause them to wear faster. A combination of good nylon and Boca parts will stop Slop, increase runtime, and save you money. It sounds contradictory, but the flex of nylon parts saves you money and wear and tear. Whenever I install new bearings, I always load them with marine-grade lubricant and these BOCA bearings are tough! It is easy to outlast Traxxas by a factor of 10. In addition to that, the RPM stuff is made of some kind of Kryptonite. This is incredible. In my case, I use the BOCA Black seal by BOCA International I have been using ceramic and have always had great luck, the seal is awesome and when I pop the seals to replace or maintain them they are always bone dry. That might help a fellow basher who prefers to drive than to wrench!.
I believe it is a high-quality kit, which should last for quite some time.
