Questions & Answers
Pulling apart the connector plug is simple. However, repeated body separations may cause long-term damage. Any damage to the wires would be at the connector, which is well secured to the body and chassis.
They both used the same location to connect the main box, so good luck if you can find a different way.
No, but the front and back light bars can be purchased separately and assembled that way.
Yes, it will work if your esc has a plug spot on the side, which I believe it does. I have the 8s Xmaxx and am very pleased with them.

Consider the following questions:
1. Do I regularly slam this truck into the ground, causing the body to separate from the chassis?
2. Do I have any experience with a cordless drill? Is it true that I have three Drill bits with a diameter of 4M? If both of these questions are yes, mount the rear LED UNDER the rear bumper, slightly recessed. I used thin metal plates for this. Those with 3M adhesive on the back, which are typically used to magnetize a cell phone to a magnetic phone mount. Amazon has them for a very low price. br>br>This type of aluminum was chosen because it is thick enough to withstand the abuse while also being flexible enough to avoid destroying other truck parts in the event of a direct hit. shot. After drilling the holes in the rear bumper mount, I used two small 6 flat head screws to go through the metal plate and attach two different M3 bolts (not screws) through the rear light bar mount to a locking nut (so it doesn't wiggle off). I then wrapped the fragile little wires (the ones that connect the rear light to the extension harness) in zip ties and electrical tape.
Maxx! It's a fantastic light kit in and of itself because it's very bright and visible even on a bright day. The Bluetooth link app allows you to control the lights in ways that most other light kits do not. What would be even better is if Traxxas designed the rear bumper to accept the light bar in the same way that the front bumper does. If you actually bash this thing like it's supposed to be, having the rear light bar mounted on the body, on the rear cab "window," is a bad idea. The filament thin cable leading to the light bar will be ripped out of the bar or the extension cable in a destructive manner once the body flies away after a rough landing. You can get the bar mounted in the slot that looks like it was designed for it but was never finished if you're patient and have some experience with a utility knife. I've been using the Traxxas TRX-S for quite some time now. In my crawler, I have a four-light kit, and while it isn't as bright, it has proven to be dependable even after a year of hard use (through water, snow, and mud). Also, if you plan to use the Traxxas Telemetry Expander module to get GPS or voltage/temp readings, you can mount the power amp below the Traxxas-recommended location on the steering turnbuckle. This way, the Expander can be mounted on top for a better view of the sky.
If your XMaxx already has a better ESC, don't buy this. It'll only work with VXL-style phones. Because it uses a proprietary power cable, it takes 8s to charge.
When it works, it's a good product, but it's also extremely fragile because the rear light, unlike the front light, is mounted on the body rather than the chassis. As a result, you must be extremely careful not to rip the thread every time you open the body. I tried to unplug the rear light to do some maintenance on my Traxxas Maxx yesterday, but the smallest wire ripped out, and the entire little socket fell somewhere I can't find. I'm not sure how I'll be able to correct it. Sigh. $99 was wagered for one day and is no longer active. I'm looking for a new socket, but I have no idea what it's called.
They're a little on the pricey side, but they look great. The lighting is intense. Please read the instructions before installing the lights. I have the Bluetooth module, but it does not always work to control the light. I wish there were more options for installing additional lights, such as body under glow. I'd buy these again just because they're cool.
Traxxas X-Plane is a fantastic toy. Lights created by Maxx. They're ideal for my new X-ray machine. You can control the Maxx 8S with the app if you have TQI installed in your remote.
It lights up nicely, there are instructions included that made installation simple, and everything is as described. With the Traxxas Link, the high/low setting is fantastic.
