To turn the light on and off, I use a four-channel receiver.
I go out and buy a y adapter. The steering servo was plugged into the receiver, and the lights and servo were connected to the two "y" connectors. When I turn on the vehicle, the lights turn on as well. I hope this response has been of assistance.
As long as your receiver has a spare slot, you're good to go.
Cut the plug off the wires and splice them together. Then connect the negative (black) and positive (red) leads to the connector tabs on the battery (9 volt). Finally, attach the battery to the RC chassis using either super glue or a strip of double-sided (15lb) adhesive tape. br>br>I hope this information is useful to everyone who is involved in this fantastic hobby.

Exceptionally bright - Although, depending on which way it's plugged in, it appears to have two brightness settings. It's a good option, but keep in mind that if they don't appear bright enough, you'll have to flip the connection around.
On my son's Traxxas Slash 2wd with a Proline Baja Bug shell, the lights look great and were relatively simple to install. br>He can now drive in the dark in the evening. The headlights aren't the brightest, and the front bumper gets in the way, but it's still a good car so far. Except for the brightness, which is not the fault of the manufacturer, I can't say I'm disappointed for the price. br>So far, it's been well worth the money. br>I'll give you an update on the reliability situation. Especially now that the Pacific Northwest is getting wet. br>br>Edit: The lights are still in perfect working order after 9 months. They've been battered, but in our setup, as previously described, they're well protected. I haven't had a chance to put them in a lot of water yet. Because of the brushed motor, we usually keep that truck out of extremely wet conditions. For the price, I still strongly suggest them!.
If it's really dark, these LEDs should be able to see about 3 feet in front of the RC. These are not the lights for you if you want true headlights that can be used to illuminate your path. These are ideal if you need to know where your RC is while driving at night in a dimly lit area, and the price is unbeatable. br>br>The lights, housings, wires, and connectors all appear to be of good quality, and I will DEFINITELY buy more if I need them.
Wires were a breeze to route to the bumpers on both ends, and they look fantastic! Amazon, I thank you.
One of the white lights wasn't working at first, and it turned out that one of the leads wasn't soldered properly. I only checked and strengthened the connections in the rest of the harness. With the exception of one unsoldered connection, everything appears to be in good working order. I also used hot glue to keep all of the connections from bending or becoming loose in the future.
Everything arrived safely, but there is a flaw in the product. One of the larger light moldings is not large enough. It appears to have been spelled incorrectly. picked. I'd appreciate it if you could send me a new one. Aside from that, the lighting is bright and well-structured. I'm afraid I won't be able to mount them all at the same time.
Rick.
Because this was an upgrade from a car with no lights to begin with, I had to drill holes. However, if there are already lit areas, I'm sure it would be relatively simple. Although the brightness could be improved, I can't complain for the price.
Lights that are both beautiful and simple to set up. I mounted them on a Traxxas rustler 4 x 4 that I have. The entire driving experience is altered by them. They don't just make it easier to see in the dark. When the truck pulls away from you, it's easy to tell which side is the front and which side is the back. They're fantastic, and I'm going to put them on every rc car or truck I purchase.
