It'll fit in your stampede receiver just fine. I'm not sure what you mean by tray, but it simply plugs into an empty receiver port. I used them in my stampede.

They appear to be 5mm led lights. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure what size the mounting holes are. I hope this has been of assistance.

) Simply plug it in, run the wires (make sure they're taped up out of the way so no moving parts come into contact with them), drill the mounting holes, pop off the buckets (they just pull straight off the LED), mount them in the body, stick the LED in the back, and then glue them into the buckets to keep them from falling out. Finally, if your receiver is in a difficult-to-reach location like mine, I strongly advise purchasing quick-release wire connections and splicing them into the lines to make it easier to remove your body.
This, along with a bar light across the top, was purchased for my Gen 7 crawler. They have a lot of color. I also bought servo Y connectors so that I could control all of the lights at the same time. I'm using 3000mh batteries, and it only took a few minutes to drain the battery without the lights. I drilled holes and placed them where the headlights go on the body, which took about 10-15 minutes to complete. It gives my run cam a lot of light. I'm very pleased with the outcome.
At night, it really makes my Traxxas Slash stand out. Lights are incredible. It's a very bright light that's also very simple to set up. I would strongly advise my family and friends to use this product. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
I was really looking forward to getting some lights for my Traxxas Rustler, and these seemed like a great choice. I decided to test them first before installing them today, as soon as they arrived. When I plugged them into my ESC, only the rear (red) lights illuminated, and even those weren't as bright as they should have been. I then focused my attention on the front white lights, turning off the light and cupping my hand around them to make sure they weren't on. It turned out that they were barely on, in fact, these things were almost off due to their dimness. The description now specifies a 4 or 5 cell battery; however, I use a 7. So I don't think this is a problem with power (voltage). I decided to cut my losses because they weren't worth returning, and I only installed the rear lights and cut off the front ones because they were only 11 bucks. Maybe I just got a bad pair of lights; I'm not saying don't buy them; I'm just warning you to be cautious.
It's a great lighting set! It performs admirably and emits a bright light! The headlights are extremely bright and provide excellent illumination at night! It's simple to set up! The bevel screws into place to keep the lights firmly in place! br>Perfect fit for my Traxxas Slash 2wd!.
Very happy with this purchase. It takes a little time to get it on the RC, but it sure does make your rc vehicles look cool at night. People are in awe when they see my 1/10 scale Redcat xte pro speed down the boulevard at 2 a. m. I'll be getting another set for my Terremoto 10v2 soon.
