This car outperforms both the 1/10 scale monster Jam Grave digger and the 1/14 scale Maisto rock crawler. A 4 GHz controller is required, and the 800 mAh battery is far superior to AA or non-replaceable batteries. It's a little smaller than I had anticipated, but it's adequate for driving both inside and outside, which is crucial. When driven inside (which will happen in the winter), the rubber tires do not rip up furniture or walls. My 30 pound toddler stands on this thing (which freaks me out every time) and it has held up well. The conversion function is extremely useful. I wish the battery cover didn't require screws, but it doesn't fall off, and they include a handy magnetic screwdriver as a bonus. For added fun, purchase an extra battery (for this or any car). It's a quick little sucker, but not so fast that it's out of control for kids. In this price range, it's a fantastic buy. If you save money on a battery or a controller, the quality of both will suffer. For children, the higher the cost, the lower the return on enjoyment.
"For ages 6 and up," the box declares. "If you're a six-year-old with low expectations, this car might be right for you. " There are, however, far superior options available. The car's design causes a lot of frustration. First and foremost, why are there two small screws that must be removed with the supplied small screwdriver in order to remove the battery for charging? That is illogical. Second, in off-road mode, the car is too tall to turn without rolling over, which is a major pain in the neck, and the tiny screws will soon be lost. It's just that the wheelbase is too small. Why would you design a car, even a toy car, that sits too high to make a simple turn without rolling over? It is illogical. Furthermore, the entire transformation is merely a gimmick. In some ways, the car might be better off-road. It's in road mode, but it's prone to tipping over - The transform functions do not allow it to right itself. Finally, even in street mode, the vehicle is not particularly quick. As a result, I've assigned it a two-star rating.
The battery life is excellent, the speed and handling are excellent, and the vehicle is simple enough for my 5-year-old to operate. I especially like the ability to transform. It would be great if it could contract in two different directions. I would highly recommend this product because of its great value.
There are forward-reverse, left-right, and forward-reverse buttons on the remote. right, and a button that raises or lowers the wheels. With the wheels down, it can run up and over almost any vertical surface, then continue on the opposite side; this car is nearly impossible to stop. It can be used as a monster truck for small toy cars when the wheels are raised. It is a hit with my son. The two battery packs allow you to charge one device while driving the car. With about an hour of start-and-stop driving, the car's battery life is good. After over two weeks of playing with it, I still haven't changed the remote batteries.
This was the best Christmas present I could have given my husband because I needed something for him to play with both inside and outside, especially when our daughters were with us. This is the first time I've ever seen a remote control car perform as well as this one. It can go under the table, climb on top of anything, and when you think it's stuck, just press the button and let it transform, and you'll probably be able to free yourself. The battery life is adequate for the advertised duration; however, I believe it is insufficient. br>br>Also, for any parents out there, my daughter enjoyed pushing this without realizing it had gears. The next day, she shattered her promise. My husband disassembled it, opened up the gear mechanism section, removed the broken part of the gear, and reassembled it, and it still works perfectly as it did when we first got it.
For my son, this is his first remote control car. I think I expected some of the fundamentals of the experience to be better, perhaps because I'm new to this. My 4-year-old son enjoys it, but I have to use the tiny screwdriver (at least provided) to remove a tiny screw (since I decided not to do both because I'm lazy and it's fine) that could easily be lost (I suppose they provide extra, but. Maybe you should just do a push-up. Is it better to use a clip or a locknut? ) to remove and charge the battery. It's a whiny complaint, but it would improve the experience when a battery is depleted in less than 30 minutes. It appears that charging takes a few hours, but I'll admit that I haven't kept track of it. It's amazing how much it's changing. I'm not sure how well other nice rock crawlers (for the same price) perform in this arena or if they simply avoid flipping over in the first place, but the fact that you can transform it saves you from having to flip it every few seconds. In either mode, it performs well on grass. It keeps my son occupied and entertained for a long time, which is worth its weight in gold.
FAST. Battery replacement and recharging: br>To recharge the Car battery, unscrew a small panel (two screws) on the bottom of the car and then unplug the (lithium polymer) battery inside. br>The tiny plug has a tiny "release button" that you must push to unplug it. Make sure you don't simply PULL it out. The box includes a small charging cord. It connects to two things: a USB port and the battery. Two AA batteries are required for the Remote Control. br>How to drive the car (playing with it): br> You should start by turning on the car, then the remote control. br>How to Use the Remote Control: br>The LEFT stick controls "Forward" or "Backward. " There is only one speed: FAST. br>Using the RIGHT stick, you can move it left or right. br>The "transformer," which is the oval middle button (between the two sticks), rearranges the wheel orientation. The car's wheels "transform" as a result of this. "br>After flipping the Car over on its back (by ramming it against a wall), you use it. It's actually a lot of fun). Because there is no speed control, playing with it outside is more fun than playing with it inside. It simply moves too quickly.
