This camera is best suited for toddlers, in my opinion. The 7 year old is used to viewing images and graphics on a large screen mobile phone, so using the VATENIC camera probably won't be their favorite activity.

You may not be able to recognize the camera when you connect it to a PC via a USB cable On the right side of the camera, hold down the up button until the camera turns on. You'll see a picture of a sd card on the camera screen. Your computer should recognize the camera and you'll be able to navigate among three different folders to find your photos or videos. Since this camera has only an inward facing camera, it is hard to take good selfies.

The book was purchased for our three year old who is above average for her age with a strong comprehension ability. As she became familiar with the buttons, she found that it was fun to play with. As is the case with most 3 year olds, she lost interest in every toy she had. A drawer is now filled with it. that this would work better for an older child and that it would be a good resource to utilize again once our daughter reaches that age. There seems to be no difficulty downloading pictures to the computer and the picture quality is great.
In comparison to my expectations, this device is much smaller than what I expected. The whole unit fits in the palm of my hand whereas I expected it to be much larger. It's great to see my 4 year old using the camera, especially since it has a lot of games (I didn't realize it As my child keeps swinging the camera around by the strap and hitting the device on the floor, it seems to be durable. It is also a major issue that my child can easily access the settings page, causing them to accidentally reformat our recording devices before we have a chance to save our My only complaint is that you can't lock features with a password. I can't assess the picture quality yet as I've not downloaded the SD card. FYI - I have no idea what the picture quality is yet. Instructions are not included in the camera's box instead, it comes with a simple flyer with some English and Asian characters on it.
