This was a Christmas present for my niece, who is four years old. This has been her favorite tool for the past four years, and she uses it daily. There is no sound at all. As one might expect from a product in this price range, the picture quality was average. When viewed on the internet, the design looks OK Although the image in the camera was clear, when transferred to the PC and viewed, the image was highly pixelated. It is my guess that the native raw resolution is nowhere near HD (perhaps 320x240 at best, but not There are options for setting the resolution range at 40 MP under the Interpolation is likely to simulate the range, but it is not an accurate representation. I do find that the photo looks decent in the PC when I resize it to 320 x240, but it is Even with volume turned all the way up, the audio is very, very faint when playing back video recordings. There is a small internal speaker on the front, which is almost impossible to hear without putting your ear up to it. Audio can't really be used on it. When I copied a fairly high level MP3 file into the MP3 folder in the camera over the PC connection, the volume at max volume level 15 (which is the default) was barely audible. Therefore, it is good enough for single pictures, but for anything else it is useless. You need to remember that this is a first camera for a young boy or girl who may be 4 or 5 years old, so don't expect much from it.
