This was purchased for a special needs child who enjoys singing baby shark songs. Despite the fact that this product brought a smile to his face when he first saw it, he quickly became frustrated because he had to hold the button down to sing or hear the song play. He refuses to use it despite several attempts to teach him how to do so. Also, just to let you know, the volume is very low.
My son keeps pressing play over and over, but it doesn't sing the entire song and isn't worth the money.
To be honest, it turned out to be a lot better than I expected. I guess I didn't read the description carefully enough, because I initially mistook this for a microphone. The Baby Shark song was played on a toy in the shape of a baby shark. It seemed like a win because my daughter sings the song while holding everything like a microphone. Imagine my surprise when I was messing around with her and realized this was a real microphone. It's not a particularly loud one (thank goodness), but it does the job. The fact that there are two buttons is the only thing I don't like about this microphone. One turns on the microphone, while the other plays the music. When you press the song button, the song begins to play, but you must keep pressing the microphone button to continue using it. It's extremely difficult to persuade my two-year-old that this is the case. I believe she will have outgrown Baby Shark by the time she truly understands it (I can only hope). Overall, the investment was well worth it. Toy that is well built.
This toy is a hit with my 2-year-old. When you press the small circle button, it starts playing the entire song. My only gripe is that the microphone enters and exits even when the button is held down, but this isn't a deal breaker for us. This is a fantastic toy.
This was purchased with the intention of using it as a karaoke microphone. Especially considering the title and the fact that it has an aux cord. Nothing came out of it when we plugged it into our karaoke speaker. The mic's built-in speaker is the only source of sound. There is no music playing on the speaker, and there is no sound on the microphone. The aux cord is far too short to be useful, and it serves no purpose because nothing happens when it's plugged in.
We initially assumed it was a problem with the batteries, but it turned out to be a problem with the item itself. Purs was just defective, but I know another kid who has one that works perfectly!.
There is no way to use the microphone. My twin boys like to hear themselves speak, but this doesn't have a microphone, so it doesn't give them that pleasure/satisfaction; instead, it simply plays the songs.
It's fantastic in every way. My son, on the other hand, became an overnight sensation. He screamed in it while walking around the house. He was dubbed "The New Chris Brown. ".
