I can just say my boyfriend seemed much more excited about the tech than I did. I thought it would be a great Christmas gift for a true crime fan and I'd heard about this on My Favorite Murder, so I decided to throw this in as an extra gift with Although he was fascinated by the watch, he was even more besotted with the cards, especially since JWG (his favorite) was the first one he saw! You should definitely check it out if you're a murderino.
These and a Christmas stocking stuffer are for my boyfriend, who loves true crime, especially serial killers. He also got a silly stocking stuffer. Reading is his favorite pastime, but he is not a fan of long books and much prefers short stories and articles. I feel like they are more like baseball cards and he treats them with this kind of love. As you know, he's read them all and he was super excited about only knowing about 10 of them before the competition.
You can read about them all in their quick facts. Their artwork is lovely and the design of the cards is well-done. Clearly written, they are easy to follow. The book would be a great gift for someone like me who is interested in learning about serial killers and loves odd things. They seem to hold up well, but since they are playing cards, they could easily get wet or tear, so I would recommend getting sleeves to protect them and then putting the box away to keep it clean and dry.
It was great to see that these were a thing for those of us who are into crime stuff! It is almost impossible to read the cards because there is so much text on them. In an all-day documentary I watched on a serial killer the day after I got them, I noticed that some information on the associated cards was incorrect. I was a bit disappointed by that.
With a basic understanding of the information, it is interesting. It's an actual deck of cards that you can use for any game you want! A different killer appears on each card, and the joker is someone who has yet to be caught! These are sure to appeal to true crime enthusiasts. There is a basic paragraph, a list of victims, a methodology in emojis, and a mug shot included in the information. You may have some creepy fun if you're a murderer!.
Card is entertaining, but there are misspellings in states abbreviations throughout, and the cards lack uniformity (ie, abbreviations versus a full spelling of the Not a reason to give up, but annoying for someone who tends to be particular about those kinds of things.
