It was my daughter's desire to play Pokemon, so we bought it for her. It is a good deck for what it does, but the features it offers are too limited to justify its During the course, you will see two people playing pokemon, each taking about six turns and using a half deck of cards. When you have already done this twice or three times, you combine the half decks into one single deck for playing Pokemon. There are many types of pokemon in this single deck, and that makes it a bad choice. As well as that, the cards for the trainers are unsatisfactory. The only time I would buy two theme decks or a battle arena deck pack is if I could do it again. There is a significant difference between the two decks, thus justifying the $8 difference. You can also learn by playing the online pokemon card game. There is no better learning tool than this one that is free.
