This adapter enables a user of a power wheelchair or scooter to charge their devices using the massive batteries we're sitting on. It's not a quick charge, but it gets the job done. I do keep a battery with four USB ports on hand for emergency charging, but for everyday use, this works fine; it works on both my Pride Jazzy and Invacare chairs, and should work with standard plugs on wheelchairs and scooters.
Even though it works, it overheats and drains your scooter's battery quickly.
However, my joy was short-lived when the XLR charger failed to charge any of my devices. Before making this final assessment, I tried three different working USB cables, and none of the devices charged when connected to this XLR device. br>br>I tested the same cables and devices on another charger, and everything worked fine. When plugged into the XLR port of my fully charged Pride Mobility scooter, this XLR charger will glow a green color, but unfortunately, that is the extent of its electronic functionality. br>br>It goes without saying that I'll return it. What a depressing experience! br>br>.
I was going to return it, but then I came across this. Because 19 happened and the UPS Store was closed, I'm going to buy another one in the hopes that it will work more than once. If it doesn't, I'll return it and never buy anything from them again now that UPS stores are open.
This product is great; it charges quickly and there have been no issues with it. My chair's battery is not being depleted. It does use some battery power, but not a lot. My phone no longer runs out of battery power.
I used to have a chair charger that I really liked, but I had to replace it after two years. I purchased this in the hopes that it would perform similarly to the original, but alas, it does not; it works for a few minutes before ceasing to charge. It doesn't charge nearly as quickly as my old one does for the few minutes it does charge. This is not something I would recommend.
While at Disneyland, I found this to be very useful, especially because it allowed me to charge my phone.
